(I planned to write long reply. and decided not to)

PS. There is /ignore command and it _should_ work. If it doesn't - it is a bug. (also - need to check, why /silence refuses to work on current version of the server)

Of course. Blaming the victim. Awesome accountability.

Ever think that there are eunuchs here searching for community and conversations, who *don’t* align with extremely deviant sex roles, fetish, extreme bme, sadism/masochism, forced violence, psychological coercion, mental health issues, and borderline pedophelia barely disguised as “art,” or any other manner of themes that seem to be normalized and accepted here?

It’s like being on a trans forum and every conversation that’s about sex work is ok but expectations of conversations that are serious or within the context of “normalcy” are rebuked, sidelined, and “don’t fit.”

Maybe it’s time for a forum that’s for “2.0 eunuchs” - ones who lives are free from dysfunction and drama and intend to stay that way…
I am not in any way blaming you, and definitely want to make sure that those that don't respect boundaries ARE held accountable! (Personally I'm probably closer to you in my feelings about what I personally feel comfortable with than many of the kinkier sorts....)

However it is a regrettable fact that there are differences in what people set as boundaries. So I feel that before complaining about someone not respecting a boundary, it is the responsibility of the complainer to make sure the boundary is known....

I also have been told by many that the chat forum in particular is a place where many like to express their fantasies, which they may very well not ever want to actually experience in real life.... This isn't to my taste, so I generally don't spend any time in the Chatroom other than to check on reported technical issues.

As moderator, I will not allow discussion involving acts where all involved are not consenting adult participants (and can't really do much more than deleting a post or banning a user) but otherwise my policy is "Judge not, lest ye be judged" I also feel that I have an obligation as moderator to respond in an effort at 'harm reduction' - which means in essence that I can't condemn a problematic post out of hand, but more on the order of "Enjoy yourself, but do it safely"

If a given conversation offends, simply ignore it or don't participate...

Serious topics and discussion are definitely welcome, and I encourage them, but I also urge tolerance of those with other views...

Only issues I’ve had are persistent people who lack an appropriate sense of boundaries…
Fhunter is the Chat admin so he is the one to deal with such issues (I can't, and don't want the job), but the posted rules are pretty explicit about expecting boundaries to be respected... It is possible that your sense of appropriate boundaries are different from those other users, so I'm quite sure that it is appropriate to point out to offenders that you find whatever to be inappropriate / unwelcome as a first step... If they continue to be a problem after asking them to stop, I'd suggest bringing any offenders to Fhunter's attention and request him to deal with them (Probably best to include the relevant conversation in any messages of that sort)

This is a direct connection. I am not using a VPN. I just was able to get back on though.

You are second user here, who complains about connections. Do you have issues with VPNs, or direct connection?

Can you open the web page from the chat link?

All in all:

1. I know about random connection issues from certain VPNs. This is seems to be ISP/internet censorship issue at server location, and I will try having a look at it after ~12th of September.
2. I have a backup plan for that, but currently my time and energy are a bit limited.

I have moved this board to IRC Chat > Connection and Technical Issues board.

I have been able to connect to both the SSL address and the standard address via Konversation IRC client on Fedora and have been able to connect via the link above.
