I did my best to implement the most privacy-preserving method. The age verification system is open source so anyone can audit the code on GitHub. It also runs on your machine so no data is sent to EA's server. I understand taking a selfie is still very intrusive, but not much I can do when so many states are requiring such measures...

Age verification is per session in order to comply with the strictest state's law (South Dakota).

VPN may trigger age verification requirement even if you don't live in one of the affected states.

If all else fails, email it to

Follow this format
Email the story file to [email protected]. Include your story description, tags and username in the body of the email. Attach the file. Do not paste it into the email body.

EXAMPLE: When you email in your story, the email body should look much like this;

Try any that does NOT have an age verification law... I believe that Mass doesn't, not sure which of the other states do or don't... You might also try a Non-US country... However I'm not sure how Dandelion has it set up, you may have a 'verify age' flag set in your profile?

I don't know if it is something new for some or all new members (In light of the new laws in some states about "adult content) but I've never been asked for age verification. I know there is a CloudFlare check box every time I log in where I have to confirm my humanity (apparently aliens aren't allowed to read the stories :P ) but that is just a check mark...
