Re: The Deed is Done!
I couldn't agree more. I went through the gamut with urologists. One said live with the pain. One, in a teaching hospital in Chicago, wanted to send me for an experimental groin nerve resection. The last just pushed me hard for over a year to make sure what I was asking was what I wanted. It was ...

Re: The Deed is Done!
Jeff,
You were my guiding light in getting cut. I quoted your situation the most. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to tell your story. It is because of men like you and the others on this site that take the time to tell what has happened both good and bad that helps others to make the ...

Re: The Deed is Done!
I, too, played with my balls and for over fifty years. I did the night before surgery. However, I am very glad they and the constant pain that they were giving me are gone. I could see what was going to happen 2-1/2 years ago when the infections started. It took that long and three urologists to get ...

Re: The Deed is Done!
Over all, I am pleased with the way things went. The bruising is gone, swelling is greatly reduced and there is very little scrotal discomfort. The severe ache I had from the testicles is gone. As of right now, I am very happy with the surgery. I would do it again.

Re: The Deed is Done!
Plix & JeffEunuch,
Thanks for the reply. I had expected some swelling, but not the amount I have had. There has been a lot of bruising in the area of my pubic bone and I did not expect that at all.
Jim

Re: The Deed is Done!
I have been on full HRT for almost five years now. My testicles had not been functioning for probably 10 years if not more. I have been dealing with recurring infections for about 2-1/2 years and have been in constant pain for over a 1-1/2 years. I went through the whole regimen of drugs to try and ...

The Deed is Done!
HI, All,
Finally the deed has been done. I had my bi-lateral orchiectomy on July 14th for painful non-functioning testicles. I have been trying for over two years! It was so amazing to wake up and not have the ache in my groin! Once I get the swelling down and the surgery pain is gone, I should be ...

Re: A medical article on hypogonadism
What most people don't understand about male's hormones is that the main one is estrogen. Testosterone might make us men, give us big muscles and make the work but never the less estrogen is the one that drives the brain, gives us strong bones and keeps us mentally alert. Women make it directly and ...

Very interesting. It is without a doubt the best explanation of hypo that I have ever seen. Thanks Andrew.

Hi, Andrew,
Yes, I am still kicking and have finally made the double nickel! I have not been on much lately. My TRT is not going well and I have been a bit down (no pun intended).
Thanks for the concern.

Re: mature eunuchs
Andrew,
I figure that my nuts had shut down five years or so before things got foggy. I don't remember having problems with concentration prior to say 1998 - 99. That might be period when they had quit working completely. It could be that my T level of 97 that I had in Jan of 2001 was the result of ...

JayBee,
You could very well be me! Felt the same way and went like that for many years. I really do miss my nuts. I have also thought about getting the remain tissue removed, however, I think time will take care of that for me.

Re: mature eunuchs
Andrew,
I think there is a difference between the fog and the calm. In my experience, the 'calm' was just that. I did not get excited easily, didn't care if the house repair work was done and really enjoyed my easy chair. The fog was just that to me. In 2000, I started to work in our shop planning ...

Re: New Posters
I haunted this site for well over a year before I made my first post. When I first found this most excellent place, I was looking for information on my condition and still had some testicular mass. At first I thought that to be a member one must have been castrated. I wasn't sure that you let non ...

Re: mature eunuchs
Hi, inphx,
First, I feel MUCH better. I am not so very tired anymore. The fog has lifted to a great extent. There are still days when I just can't seem to keep a thought going, but it is getting better. And I have lost a lot of weight. Could never understand why I was gaining and nothing I did ...

Re: mature eunuchs
I am a non-surgical eunuch also. I was told that it was just one of those things and happens to some men. Since I found out nuts had quit working and I started TRT in Jan 2001, I have not kept it a secret at home or work. I believe that they had stopped working about 8 years ago and had started to ...
