Dr. Movagharnia, a plastic surgeon, does orchiectomies at a local hospital on an out patient basis. I believe the total cost is $4000. Since this is elective surgery it is not covered by insurance. No therapist letter is required, but you must write him a letter telling him why you want the surgery.

My size reduction is about 1/3

I took cyproterone acetate and estrogen, which resulted in chemical castration and significant breast growth. Breast growth is slow but sure and takes a few years.

I found the results to be the same. I was chemically castrated, and then surgically. No noticeable change after the surgery. Chemical means buying and taking pills forever. Expensive and may have side effect problems. Surgical costs more up front but then nor more costs or pill taking.

You cannot have the scrotum removed until it is empty, of course. If you live in the USA there are doctors who can remove the second testicle, and at the same time the scrotum or just the testicle. There are plenty of plastic surgeons that will remove an empty scrotum. Contact me for detail of these ...

I would say that my penis has lost about one-third of its size after I had myself castrated. I was chemically castrated and taking fem hormones and have continued on the fem hormones after surgical castration. I like my result, but not sure if the hormones added to the shrinkage.

If there is such a thing as an Eunuch Calm, I hope I experience it sometime during my life. Right now I think Eunuch Calm is just the reduced horny-ness and changes with age.

Just finding a urologist who is female is nearly impossible, much less one who performs orchiectomies or scrotectomies. Now that I am castrated I won't go to a male urologist.

I was chemically castrated for a few years before I had my testicles cut off, so I did not notice any difference. I think trying chemical castration first is a good idea.

You only have so many golf swings in your life, so use them diligently. Yes, it is an analogy, you know what I mean.

Call a surgeon who does gender reassignment surgery, tell him or her where you are in your travel and ask to be recommended a psych for your clearance letter.

Are you looking only for pre-castrated males, or do you also have an interest in neutered males?

Keep checking your sperm level. Use some form of birth control until you no longer need it.

I think it is pretty much a myth. The only thing I noticed is that when something goes wrong I don't get that "oh no what am I going to do now feeling".
