Up until the 1950s, the term "castration" was unisex, and simply refered to the removal of the gonads. Your female friend would need both a hysterectomy AND a castration to obtain what she desires. This is a major surgery.

She might also try the female equivilent of chemical castration for awhile ...

Hysterectomy will solve the problem of her periods as it removes the uterus. However the ovaries (female equivalent of testicles) will still remain. In either case she will still have her vagina and be able to be penetrated. What does she desire?
