Thanks... It's getting down to the finish line - I just had my last meal w/ balls, as I am now only allowed 'clear liquids' from now to ✂️🔪 time... Way early for me but about to go to bed as I have to get up at 3am for my final shower and getting ready ...

Getting closer and closer - Today I had to start using the special soap for showering that they want me to use for three days before the procedure... (My GF had to use the same stuff getting ready for her carpal tunnel surgery FWIW)

Had the call today from the "Pre-procedure department nurse... Not a big deal, mostly went over meds and such w/ instructions on what not to take when and what to bring / not bring, and so on... Pretty much routine stuff that I'd have expected from most any medical procedure...

Well, I was supposed to have gotten a call from the Urology Dept. an hour ago in relation to the upcoming operation, and it hasn't happened yet... (I have a second call from the surgery people in about 15 minutes)

I'm not sure you would meet the usual criteria listed in the SOC v8 that Valery linked to above, (though you should given what you describe about your pain) but it might be worth seeing if there is a transgender center or clinic near where you live. Got the results on my bone scan from last week - reasonably good news, I still score as having osteopenia, which I've had for years, but they say I'm 'stable' so it's not getting any worse... Given that there isn't any really good way to increase bone density w/o the load bearing exercise I can't do ...

Got the urinalysis test results, and am slightly puzzled... For me, standing wasn't a problem. It was sitting. My first 48 hours was laying in bed. I didn't sit straight for about 2 weeks. You do know your body better then any of us, we are just giving reasons based on experience.

You will need to move less, for at least two weeks you should not be distracted by different trips, but it is better to postpone them for a month.

It is strictly necessary to control blood pressure for at least two months!

Thanks... The volunteer shift is not terribly difficult - mostly sitting behind the desk (I'm USED to sitting...🙄) and dealing with questions in person / email, signing in students etc... Occasionally taking visitors around on tours, so not a big deal... I can skip it if I have to but figure there ...

Slight delay... :( I had a conflicting event w/ the initially scheduled pre-op virtual visits, so had to reschedule one of them... When the hospital rescheduled, it pushed them both forward quite a bit, and said that their rules required the visits be at least 30 days in advance of the surgery, so ...
