My wife was pretty resistant until I mentioned in passing that castration was the same thing as getting ones ovaries removed. It is a cultural thing that makes it OK for a woman, but taboo for a man. She is smart, it was a logical comment, she thought for a moment, grunted, and said that makes sense ...
