Re: shutdown T permanently with siterone possible?

I agree with transward, it's unlikely that androcur will shut down your testicles permanently. But, it may make them atrophy, giving you a trial run and an easier job with injections should you choose to pursue that route. In my experience, taking spironolactone for over a year has caused some ...

Re: Has any castrated men had sex with women or vice versa?

wanna second what Jesus said -- the answers are in the forum :). I find the formulation of your title kinda humorous though: what do you mean "vice versa"? "had sex with" is a commutative relation, and one doesn't usually say "castrated" for women.

Hi there,

Good to hear your story. It's nice to hear yet another experience indicating that testosterone has "cons" as well as "pros". I can't help with therapist recommendations, but you might try looking at Yelp reviews of therapists. I imagine the better ones are usually better educated, and ...

Re: For those trying to stay covert: what not to do (wrt. insurance).

I'm 23, so the minor policy shouldn't apply. I have the luck of living in the Bay Area, and it seems my entire doctor's office is quite trans-friendly. At least, the office staffer I spoke with, when I realized my error using insurance, did his best to reassure me (while being honest that it was too ...

I have difficulty believing the garden shears part. Wouldn't anyone with any sense at least buy some #10 scalpels from Amazon for a few bucks? Hope there is enough acceptance someday for people who can't afford it to get financial support.

It often doesn't work out that way. Things also happened in my past ... will post in the introductions section soonish. In any case, the cost of them not being supportive would be devastating. Good to know of the coding system.

Re: orchiectomy before trying chemical castration

That's very sweet, you are very, very lucky to be supported by your family. I'd be careful not to push things too fast, you don't want to lose their support.

Your dress doesn't need to "correspond" to your body -- this notion is all a construct of western gender boxes (or mostly, I guess less ...

For those trying to stay covert: what not to do (wrt. insurance).

A few days ago, I went to visit my general practitioner to talk about gender issues. He seems to be a very understanding, and supportive person. However, the nature of my appointment was conferred to the insurance company, and my parents are the policy holder. On a leap of faith, I told the office ...

Re: orchiectomy before trying chemical castration

Just from my experience and casual listening to others, your feelings (like crap or otherwise) will likely be a result of androgen deprivation, than medicine side-effects. There are a lot of anti-androgens; are you sure they are all worse than estrogen / testosterone supplements?

If you indeed have ...

Re: I'm really, really depressed. ugh. I'm really impatient in getting rid of my sex driv

Matthew -- your use of the word "lust" is odd ... urbandictionary defines it as an attraction to another individual. "sexually aroused" / "turned on" / "horny" would seem more appropriate to me. Has the definition changed since biblical times?

back on topic, antiandrogens have worked for me. you ...

the bible also has mixed things to say about Eunuchs. (e.g. a negative is "cannot enter the kingdom of god"). think about whether the body rejection or lust-related discomfort came before or after your spiritual anguish. hope you find happiness & comfort.

3) With whom do you actually have sexual relations?

$119 / month sounds a little high. What is the traffic like, and have you experienced issues with other web hosts for the content? I use Arvixe and they've been great ($50 / year for extremely low-traffic personal hosting).

Just some ideas; there's the rackspace cloud (1.5 cents / hour = $11 ...

I met with Dr. Auge yday. She was a very neat person; definitely able to see eye-to-eye with my tech passions (and love of pets, music). I felt pretty comfortable conversing with her. She was okay with my taking spironolactone, and with whatever my gender identity settles on (right now, it feels ...

gender therapists in the bay area?

Is anyone here from the bay area (preferably, east bay), and familiar with any gender therapists? Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to coax any good results out of this site's search feature, so apologies if this is a duplicate thread. I know there are other websites, but I feel they are geared ...
