I'm gay, and I don't do that. I know you don't mean offense, but I resent your assumption that gay men are some sort of peeping-tom-bathroom-pervert.

Is there a way to join the chat without having to use java within a web browser? Can I do it with an irc client? If I can, what information do I need (server address/ip address/etc)?

Be careful! I'm not sure what you're planning, but all those zip ties sounds like a recipe for blood clots and/or gangrene.
