So last year, i managed to abstain from sex of all forms for 3 months. It was rather difficult at first. I lived with a dull aching pain in my perineum. I was having wet dreams after a couple of weeks. I was advised to at least milk my prostate regularly to relieve the ache, and was advised its necessary for prostate health. I did stop getting erections after a few weeks, my penis shrunk, and my desire for orgasm and ejaculation finished. Will there still be the ache with chemical castration(i am going to try it for 90 days) or does the reduction of T stop this? Should i still keep my prostate emptied on a regular basis, or does the castration eliminate this need?

Drs advise all males from puberty until death to regularly empty out all of the male sex glands and sperm production that mix together to make semen. Thanks for the info. So even after castration, chemical or surgical, one should still regularly masturbate to orgasm. How does that work after castration? Most things i read on here say after castration the ability to , or desire to reach orgasm is either gone or way low.

If chemical castration works for me then I certainly won't be masturbating unless I feel the urge to.

I see it as one of the benefits of castration. I don't have any issues with masturbation, I'd just rather not have to do it. I could be reading a good book instead!

Thanks Humlind. I am trying to get my ducks in a row and be prepared, Going to try chemical and see how it goes. I have some issues with needing medical monitoring for my work which makes it a little more complicated. I had read the research that says for healthy prostate one should ejaculate regularly. I was just wondering if i should make sure i ejaculate on a regular basis to keep the pipes clear, or just empty it by pressing on it, but i know its not the only ejaculate maker.

Yes Zebedee, one of the things i am hoping for from this is more reading time! Being driven to cruse porn is very time consuming. Put that together with my primary desire to lower my very high risk of prostate cancer, i feel i am in the right frame of mind.

I cant believe that its so difficult to find a Dr. who wont help me lower my T in an effort to avoid prostate cancer! It seems so obvious to me. Avoiding PC rather than waiting for it and then treating it

No source except what different drs have told the men I know and told me about jacking off and sex sre needed to flush out all the male sex organs and prevent old fluids building up and rotting in all those glands and storage places. Its common sense anyway to flush out old fluids with fresh new ones. You have ample proof on here that both eunuchs on and off T still make various semen fluids after castration that should be flushed out for fresh fluids. Also, you can look up studies on prostate cancer and sex frequency and how the men and boys with more frequent ejaculations have less prostate cancer.

I m not a bibliography expert and I don t make notations every time I read or hear or talk about anything. Its not really what this site is for. Professional journals do that. Thanks for asking though.

I would assume that it would still work, but probably at a much reduced level. (Unless you're taking T after physical castration)

Also I get the impression that using a combination of Androcur and Tamoxifen will eliminate the libido almost entirely, and getting an erection and masturbating will be quite hard work. There's likely to be no desire and little ability.

Given that chemical castration is used as a treatment for certain types of prostate cancer I would guess that the benefits outweigh the negatives. I've certainly never heard of anyone being advised to regularly masturbate as part of their treatment, though I admit if they were I doubt that they would advertise the fact...

But it would be a good excuse if you were caught at it on the bus - "My doctor told me that if I don't do this I might die!"

My prostate never shrunk after 2.5 years no T and I did fine without ejaculating for long periods at a time and you can still ejaculate if you really feel it is necessary or milk the prostate but I don't think it is that big of a deal the body will reabsorbe what it needs too.

I had rather assumed that 'milking the prostate' was just a euphemism for masturbation...
