How about "Tits on an old eunuch"? No! Wait! I like my little boobies! --FLO--

Either sounds OK but I prefer "Tits on a chicken."

Something really useless.

Early this morning I had my first panic attack in three plus years. When I came out of my nine day stay at the hospital back when I stupidly burned all the flesh off my right arm, I was hit with panic attacks for months. Those attacks were vicious as they lasted 12 plus hours every damn day. They didn't end till my doctor put me on a drug called Paxil.

The one this morning was delightful in comparison. It was scary but it only lasted 7 minutes :)

It was 32 last night. Somehow, I don't think I could adjust to -32 in Wisconsin or Minnesota.

I had an appointment with my doctora today at 9:30 am. The bus got me to the hospital at 9:00 am. From there I got directions to her office. It was two miles north of where I was and no bus service headed up that way.

I decided my leg with the psiatic nerve wasn't able to walk two miles uphill.

Mac, I learned of a job opening that employs exclusively elder men. Health care is great and the accomodations are superb. Have you thought about applying to be Pope?

Seriously I wish things warm up for you soon.

Well, I'm definitely wise enough to be Pope and I have the correct stand on abortion and birth control. Now, if I was only Roman Catholic.

By the way, I called my doctor and my next appointment is April 11th at 3:30 pm.

I called Edison today to postpone the inevitable. I owe $266. I have $220 left for electricity and food. I made a three part payment arrangement and am supposed to give them $90 next week. Then other payments in March and April.

I finally had a death in my family - yes, my heating blanket died. There will be no funeral; I'm sleeping on the corpse :)

This morning I awoke to discover I was a bit chilly. I reached over to click on my space heater and it didn't come on. I got up and flipped on the light switch to discover it didn't work. I dressed and went through the house and saw that the power was off. I knew I had paid the bill so I went to see my neighbors. They told me the power had gone out and on again three or four times. Within 30 minutes, the power returned.

I'd hate to imagine those folks back east when the power went out for like a week or more. If they didn't have gas heating or a fireplace, they might have frozen to death.

Most gas furnaces or permanently installed heaters will not work without electricity (digital controls, safety devices, electric valves, etc.) so, if the power is out you are without heat. --FLO--

Some of us have generators to take care of things when the power goes out. A tornado went thru my house back in New York.. I was interviewed by the TV station. I never got to see myself on TV, the one and only time I was on TV.. Thus I bought a generator after that tornado so that would never happen again.

I've read that some houses back east use fuel oil instead of natural gas. Can I assume they require electricity to start up as well?

Many of the modern ones, yes. But most folks are getting away from heating oil, at least around here. Too expensive.

Natural Gas, Fuel Oil, Kerosene; they all require electricity to create the spark to ignite and start the fire. On the other side, most muncipalities a are putting the electricity underground instead of poles and wiress overhead. Thus eliminating the loss of electricity from accidents breaking the poles and trees knocking the wires, etc. All things we dealt with 50 years and made for more power outages.

"Hooray, Alan Brinkman is back on the air" (from the movie Abyss)

The Time Warner guy fixed me. He said the power outage we had Monday killed my signal. During the past five days I've missed the Boards, EA Chat, looking at naked Minnesota Women, playing on Pogo, watching movies at night and researching history :)

Hey, any of you guys want to drive here on April 11th and give me a ride to see my doctor at 3:30 pm?

This is the first time I've seen her since my psiatic nerve problem cropped up -
