Re: How should we refer to the previous EA?

After running FA for just about 2 months, I must say I deeply appreciate what Paolo had been doing. Having to read submissions, give author feedback, edit, copy and paste to FA, and make a post on EA, all within a day or two may sound easy, but it’s actually very tedious and eat into your limited personal free time. Now think about having submissions every few days and having to do it for 20+ years!

I was never really involved in the forum so I could not speak for them, but I’m sure they’ve dedicated a lot of their time and money as well, and have a great achievement for having eunuchs included in the SOC8.

We must pay respects and appreciations to where it’s due. My understanding is many of the old team simply got burned out from the lack of appreciation for what they had been doing tirelessly for this community. Remember: they never asked for any compensation, maybe except for a thank you here and there.

And they didn’t exactly just shutter the whole thing. They had a continuation plan in place. The Kinsey institute had promised to host and mirror the site in a read-only format. I have not received any updates about it though, but that’s Kinsey’s responsibilities.

And our new leaders were part of the previous incarnations of EA so there is a continuation. I have been a member through all 3 and really it a great shame that the "old" leadership didn't see fit to hand over to the new generation. It speaks to their character or lack of it !

Is there any way we can access the EAv2 files from the scrape that was done?

I think there’s a thread in the FA sub that points to another thread that has the link to the zip file somewhere.

Bingo!

It seems like some are starting to understand what a significant undertaking moderation of a site like this, is.

A very good point.
In life there is always a way to give credit where credit is due even when past experience hasn't always been glowing. The contributions of the last leadership team (EA II) was a great benefit to 'Eunuchcality' worldwide and via a deep and lasting commitment by them to the course. Perhaps we could call them 'the fab four'

I like Fusion's answer. Just EA I, EA II and EA III. Variations as EAv.I are cool too.
