I'm so excited about this trip!

I worked my last day at work today and am off until I fly, so I'm going to get some USD cash and start washing / packing everything I need. Looks like Minneapolis will be significantly hotter than the UK is at the moment. LOL
Please let me know if there is anything anyone would like me to bring from the UK! (so long as it isn't too big or expensive! LOL)
Will be so lovely to sink a few beers with all of you
Until later ))HUGS((
Rog,
I am very excited to make your acquaintance at the upcoming meeting as well as many others I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting. It will also be good to renew old friendships.
I'm taking Friday off as a vacation day and can't wait to jump on that airplane and head out to "the great white north". Looking forward to seeing all of you soon!

Anyone on the list of attendees can PM me and I will provide any directions needed in the Mpls/St Paul and surrounding metro area. I took the full week off, though I have been working at my houses.... save me.

Greetings from the Frozen North, the place some call the Great White North.
Tonight several members of the Archive, on holiday in the Mid-West, were treated to dinner at Kristoff's home and backyard. I must say, the dinner was mighty fine and filling too. The liquid refreshment was outstanding and the tastey treat after couldn't be better.
This is just the beginning of many eatting opportunities during our annual MoM event in the Mid-West. Tomorrow we are schedule at Jesus's accomodations for cocktails, snacks and fine chat. Then off to dinner.
We miss you all who could not attend.
Take care and stay tuned for our next installment tomorrow.

Hi everyone, Just starting a thread of the event up in the MidWest. I myself got here Thursday. River and Gemm picked me up at the airport on time. River was coming one way, and I was coming the other way, and both of us looked at one another at the same time and gave a big smile

knowing who we both were. Then a big hug.

Was very nice to finally meet him. So, we then went on and ran some errands they both needed to do while out. We got home some time after 5pm. Then we went over to Talula's place to help him with some buttons for name tags. It was very nice to meet Talula finally. Very cool guy.

I enjoyed visiting with him. OMG!! His cat is Huge!!!! Beautiful, but a shy one.
Then River made some hamburgers on the grill for us and we ate. Was good. Then later that evening Ken, Plix and IEunuch, got back, and we visited for a while. Ken is as lovely as anyone might have thought. Plix I had met a few yrs ago, and was great to see him again. He is still as quiet as he was then.

IEunuch is as wonderful as everyone thought.
We talked a while then they all retired to where they were staying. Then River headed to bed, and I the same, but on the futon. Was very comfy. River is going to make us some breakfast today, then off for many things to do today. Talk to ya later.
Big hugs, Lilac

I'm glad you finally were able to meet the notorious guys from the Boards and chat.
Two questions, however:
1. Did River show you his balls? (the ones in the jar)
2. What did you think of Rupert?

When I was told to meet at the Restaurant I was worried. HOW will I know anyone? Do I yell "Hey is anyone here Testicularly challanged?!" Or maybe I just give them one of my Androgel Pens and wink? Well I guess that fact that I didn't know the secret Handshake is what had me really worried...
Thankfully some of you are brave and use your real pictures so I could tell where the MOMs group was.
To those of you who were whispering "He is not black!" and "He doesn't look at all like a plastic doll head with a Mohawk" all I can say is I'm sorry I'm not black. I'm trying as hard as I can....
To recap my experience -
Erica Ann is a way cool chick that I loved gabbing with. I think your the Paula Prentiss of the transgendered (And that HIGH praise from me) I love the "Chicago-isms" I also loved your story about changing the M to F at the DMV. Ha!
Terry your are quieter then a mouse but also quite the "babe."
Sister Kistner WILL have to be dragged kicking and screaming back into comedy if I have anything to say about it.
Uncle Flo it was cool to meet you and I'm glad you are feeling good.
HeySuse (Aka Jesus) you are a cool dude and remind me of several teachers I had that didn't put my to sleep (And there were not many of them) I'm glad out Mutual Friend the "Prof" is doing ok and writing.
Rog Rog Rog. You UK guys are neat. I think your the Fab 4 of this loonie bin. I was cracking up so bad when you were trying to sit through that phone call poll thing so our hostess could get her bonus points.
Plix thanks for telling me what your Avatar is. Its much cooler that its a falling star then ahh... what I thought it was. *ok, I'm a dumb ass I thought it was a Fertility test slide.
My Fellow Sailor friend that I sat to and everyone elses names who I now am confused who is who thanks for listening to my really bad jokes and pretending some were even funny. Your the best!
Budly Bear. I didn't get a chance to say much of anything but your much better looking in person then in your Avatar where for whatever reason you look small and sick?
Oh! IEunuch you don't look even a little like your Avatar but your are much nicer then any SYSOP should be. You must start reading books written by despots and dictators and start getting POed more often. Get a stuffed animal or two and just start punching them for no reason.
I Loved the Light saber but next time bring two so the hostess can fight it out with you Paolo!

Hi again, Wolfie, River said you are a "senile old Perv"

Yes, I did get to see the famous jar, and yes I met Rupert, he is a very friendly, lovable cat.
Well, today we started out going to the movies I seen "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry" Was very hilarious. Then we came back and Picked up River and headed to Jesus's room for a small get together, which ended up being close to 20 of us, we had a nice time talking and laughing. Then we headed out to dinner at a nice place called, "Country Buffet" we had a great time. We will have the big get together Saturday. I will let ya know how it all goes.
hugs, Lilac

Unfortunately, I'll miss tonight's dinner. This was the one part of the weekend I could definitely get in. I'm recovering from a 6-week asthma flare-up, though, and when I went outside to get in the car my lungs felt like they were closing up. It's the high humidity on this rainy day in Minnesota. To avoid the risk of having to start prednisone again, I need to stay home. Hope everyone's having a great time.

I had the most wonderful time this past weekend. Getting together with one of the most understanding group of people you could ever meet was so refreshing and well worth the trip as well as braving what could be termed, not exactly the finest weather one could expect for August.
It was so nice to have the opportunity to finally be able to meet and really get to know the real people behind the many posts and avatars on the boards.
MrT doesn't look a thing like his avatar, thank God. Lilac is just as sweet in person as she is in the chat room. Talula is always an interesting person to speak with just based on his knowledge of the archive let alone anything else. Thank you Jesus for sharing some wonderful conversation and some of your vast knowledge and encouragement with me. Ieunuch is a fascinating person to get to know as well as thefrag, who is one funny guy. Kristoff, well what can one say that hasn't already been said. Thanks for showing me some of the night life in the area as well as being around to close the bars with me on Friday and Saturday nights. Paolo, let's just say that you may have shot that "evil overlord" persona with me at least.

Bryant, you were a wonderful traveling companion and room mate as always.
I just wanted to say thank you to all those who put so much time and effort into making this weekend possible. Bobbie for organizing all of the details as well as providing much of the food. River, the pancakes were just as good as always. Thanks to River and Talula for providing the venue for the event. My only questions was who ever was in charge of the weather did a lousy job!

Let me say this about the weather, it rained and rained and rained about 2.5 inches in all, its Monday morning and it looks to be a wonderful day, more rain.
So whoever ordered the weather, well they should be castrated.

I'm here at the airport, but before I left the country...I just wanted to say one last "thank you" to some very special people. I like to think of you as my own family, except that you're so much more than I deserve.
I especially owe a lot to Jesus (our own!) because - without him - I probably wouldn't have made it out here. Thanks to Krister for inviting me into your house, feeding and entertaining us... (you are probably one of the most entertaining people to listen to that I know!

except possibly Talula when he's doing his radio thing LOL)
I enjoyed everyone in their own special way... every hug and felt just a little guilty that so much time was spent drunk LOL I'm sorry if I was loud or offensive to anyone when I get like that. I had a wonderful time and I hope I didn't piss anyone off doing it
I definitely can't wait to be at the next MOM meeting! Hope everyone is as happy (and sad to leave!) as I am right at this moment. I'm going to miss you all very much. And it goes without saying that enyone at MOM need only drop me an email / PM or call if you are in my neck of the woods!
Hope you all have a great week!

Hello everyone reading, Sorry I didn't get back here earlier to post right after the Gathering, but I couldn't get the net to work that night. Thursday, I got to help a little with making the buttons with names on them. Nice piece of equipment Talula has to make them. Very easy to make them. Anyway back to Saturday's Event. I'm here to tell you now, It was "Wonderful" despite the nasty weather. Well, this is what happened the day of the event. First, let's see, we started off with Riverwind's "Famous Pancakes" which were as good as everyone said, and he cooked a million i'm sure.

Bobbie cooked the sausage links for everyone, really good tasting links too. I believe Ralph brought some "pure maple syrup" it was so good. I've never had that before.

We had a big crowd there, and still had some left over so, River and someone else made a giant "Penis pancake" with a set of balls on the side, for laughs. It was funny as hell.

We all had a great breakfast. It did get off to a late start so we canceled lunch. Sorry Robby, i'm sure the taco's would have been good for sure.

Then we talked, and took pictures and had a blast. Bobbie started preparing dinner for everyone. We had the "Brats (I think they are spelled that way) Ita. sausage, hamburgers and all the fixings, plus some salads. Tome brought with him a very nice "Fruit tray" was very good tasting pieces of fruit. All of it was a filling meal. Hell, I was still a bit full from breakfast but I still enjoyed the meal very much. Then everyone finished up and relaxed and stuff. Talking, laughing, drinking and having some well deserved fun for a change. We all missed our lovely "Christina" being there with us, specially me

We all send our best to her and to get well soon. Then some entertainment came along, the long awaited "Sister Krister" made his entrance into the big tent. OMG!! It was a delight to meet the "Great Sister". I got a picture with him too.

OH! We also got to see the "Lite Saber" of the one and only "Paolo" which he did break out at the resturrant Friday night. Some people that were there eatting dinner, were looking a bit scared at our tables. *giggles* Anyway, We all had a great time with everyone. Some of us went on to the hotel later that night, then came back Sunday for breakfast, but we missed that. It was 12 pm by the time we got there, So Bobbie, started lunch about 1pm. *Brats, Sausages and chips and snacks. We got our fill and sat around and talked the rest of the time. I just wanted to tell everyone, I had a very wonderful time with all of you. I can actually say, "I've been in a tent full of "Eunuchs, TG's Girls" plus the "lovely, Daughter" and Jesus" no one could ever forget him. They were all, everything I expected and even more. I was sad to leave that night.

I wanted to also thank the many of you that I talked to about things, "Thank you" for the wonderful time we had. To many names to name, but, It took all my pain inside my heart away, for a while. I will never forget any of you. (damn it where's the tissue) I can't wait to see you all again. I love you all. Take Care.
love and big

Its Monday morning, most everybody has left for there part of the world, only a few are still here, Bobbie, OBB, Incuse, IEunuch. The first three will be leaving for there homes this morning and our leader will be heading back to Canada tomorrow at before the sun rises.
Some people could not make it because of reasons that were not of there making, for the ones that did, it was a wonderful weekend. Food, more food, drink good fellowship, meeting new friends, meeting old friends. It was a great success and the thanks goes to Bobbie for once again putting on a super event.
For the ones that this was there first event I herd them all say the same thing, and that was it was not what they expected, Hundreds of pictures were taken with the 15 or so cameras that kept flashing throughout the event.
If you came then you understand when I say it was family getting together, maybe even closer then that, a true bond of friendship that can never be broken.
This was the best one yet, thanks Bobbie.

The past week has been an absolute whirlwind of activity, hilarity, fun, adventure, exploration, ungawdly amounts of food of nearly every sort or so it seems (lucky me - ONLY 5 pounds added), meeting and catching up with old and dear friends, renewing acquaintances and strengthening those ties, and just as important, meeting new friends.
I sit here and attempt to cast through all the faces and names, and it is difficult. This was the largest MOM yet, I understand. Let's see: I think around 24 folk. We had a few who couldn't make it because of illness or missed emails....
With all the insanity involved in traffic snarls resulting from a fallen bridge, I had plenty of opportunity to be highly directive (NOT bossy, dammit). Talked lots of folks around most obstructions and to many destinations as well as to the MOM. Most folk seemed to get where they were going eventually, though, with or without me....
I took the whole week off from work (first time in 14 years a whole week), although I damaged the record of a full week off. I worked Monday and Tuesday on my rehab house, getting it polished for the agent to list it on Wednesday! Yea!!!! I screwed off most of Wednesday waiting for several folks to start arriving from the airport.
Finally, about 7PM, Paolo called me on Tugon's phone, while I was cruising through the Homo Depot, and I began to really hustle through there. I drove about 30 miles to the hotel with a lot of anticipation, met my dearest friend P, gentle and friendly Roger (the fraj), Jesus A. (always a pleasure), as well as Tugon - truly a gentleman of the first order! We all walked over to the "Outback" restaurant for dinner. After much conversation and fun, I left for the evening, and the other four headed for Talula's house and several more hours of gabbing.
Met up with the crew at the Mall of America midday the next day, where we only managed to tour the third floor, and have lunch at Famous Dave's in the food court. OBB and Bobbie and Incuse joined us for lunch after a bit, while KenSD and Plix were (I am told) shopping on the first floor. After a bit more cruising around and hitting Lego Land on the main level, I split to get groceries, and a while later about 8 eunuchs and friends of eunuchs showed at my house, where I had the privilege of serving them all with sirloins, and lots of other stuff. I forget whom, but someone brought a great diet and carb busting shortcake with lots of stuff on it, as well as loads of fresh fruit for dessert. Awesome. That finally broke up about 2345, many tired folks making a long drive (45 minutes) back to their hotel.
Friday dawned at about 1000 for most, it seemed, and I raced across the metro area (30 miles) to meet up with folks. Paolo and Tugon and I then took a tour of various interest spots in Minneapolis. We hit a very comfortable coffee shop (very nicely equipped with hot boys), followed by a clothing shop (The Lava Lounge), a leather shop (The Cockpit Project) where someone bought a hot leather thong. Never the fuck mind who - I promised I wouldn't broadcast it. Heheheheh. After that, we all went shopping at one of the finest emporiums of general merchandise for a while - Sex World. (Sheeeez, let a nun off the leash and anything can happen, including corrupting the morals of sweet innocents.....). After that, we headed over to the convent and loaded up 2 picnic tables, a big gas grill, and a pile of other schitt on the flat bed trailer, and hauled it all back to Eunuch Central.
Of course we got diverted before reaching EA Central. So we just hauled a load of tables, etc around for a while behind Sister's Lesbian-mobile (Silverado 1500), and ended up over at the Hog Trough (aka, the Old Country Buffet) for dinner. OMG!!! Everyone from A to Z showed up, including T - Mr. that is. We took over about 2/3 of the banquet room, terrorized the other patrons, re-arranging the furniture, being loud, and giving our fantastic waitress a fun hard time (only thing hard in the place....). We got several good pix of Jesus at the head of the table with eunuchs spread out on either side of him. A picture of "The Latest Supper." Several of us headed from EA Central shortly after dinner, dropping off tables, grill, trailer, etc. We all then ran back to the hotel, arranged a caravan, and several of us went to "Camp," a new club in downtown St Paul. A very nice place that we managed to close.
Next morning, running late, starting to rain, and the MN Dept Transportation had closed 2/3 the connecting highways between me and EA Central - widening highways temporarily to accommodate traffic from the fallen bridge. Meanwhile however, it makes for horrible times getting around town. Nevertheless, having wound my way through a maze of side streets, we managed to get the big tent to EAC, where we immediately began erecting it, and putting tarps up on three sides of it. All just in time - we were moist but not soaked when done. Never saw such a crew move.
With the tent up, River was in his glory. That turner looked sometimes like a weapon in his hand. "You, how many pancakes?" while pointing with kitchen armaments. "What do you mean? Only three?" (Try 3 X 10 pancakes). If anyone went away hungry at ANY time that day, it was their own fault! The day extended to a great deal of chatting, picture taking, talking, chatting, having fun, and meeting and making friends. Somewhere in there Bobbie and his troubadors made dinner and we all got bigger (those extra 5 lbs are undoubtedly all his fault!) Later on, we got the caravan going again, and headed for downtown Minneapolis, to cruise a club with 9 bars, a show lounge featuring an amateur drag queen show, and loads of pretty people to look at. Closed that one down too.
Sunday was another day at EAC, more food, fun, and good byes for several folk - I think about 5 PM Eunuch Central Time, it took me about 45 minutes to say good bye. I have had the good fortune of meeting several fascinating and fun folks, renewing several friendships, and growing much, much closer on yet another!
I am sure I could write 22 more pages but this is enough for now. For those who did not make it, you really missed out big time. We'll hope and expect to see y'all next time!
