The MoMs are all great social gatherings. A little food and wine always helps to lubricate the event.

The wine-and-cheese (and nonalcoholic for those who prefer) is a place where people can trickle in over the afternoon. Some arrive early, some later. We then adjourn to dinner.

We've always had the back room at the Hog Trough where we can continue the social aspects over LOTS of food. Last year they allowed some family groups in the room with us. The children wanted to join us for the fun. The adults kept inching further away as Paolo Vader and the Red Nun shot foam darts about and waved light sabers. (One of my favorite MoM photographs is of Fearless Leader IE with foam darts stuck on his bald head.) We've always had children peering in the door to see who's having so much fun.

Saturday and Sunday are at Talula's and Riverwind's places (and the yard in between where the neighbor escapes our festivities early and allows us to use his space).

For me it will still depend on whether I can get time off from whatever job I have so soon after starting as well as whether finances are in place. I have been financially stretched to the limit as a result of recent changes in my life. I would like to make it, but unfortunately at this point I would say it is looking more likely not than so. We shall see what happens.

Can't wait to have a martini with you and I'm especially looking forward to dinner on Thursday night along with enjoying the night life on Friday and Saturday nights.

To answer Paolo, I am planning on being at the 2009 MoM. We were trying to do a rough head count at the ET breakfast yesterday and came up with 18 confirmed so far. I always look forward to seeing Paolo and Krister cut up and make everyone laugh till their sides hurt.

OK, I'll bite. What does the ET stand for, never having heard of anything more than just a breakfast?

ET.. Is Eunuch Table at the Eunuch Breakfast where we were discussing the possible attendees of the 2009 MoM last Wednesday. P.S. You have not commited to attending yet.. You name was not added to that list.

sorry but at this time it looks like I won't be able to attend the MOM.. I will try to keep flexible but do not count on me being there..

Sheep! You can not come to the MOM. All plans are in place. You are the guest of honer for the main course.You have the support of all of the attendees wishing to get a part of you. We all know just how sweet you are. I was thinking about some honey coating,

Gotta have weapons in Ready Reserve... Sides, not too many whales around these parts, cept the land-based bi-ped type (oops, don't mention the Princess...)...

Yes River... For a round number, it looks like about 20 at this years MoM.. Everything is set. We just need to have more firm information as to who is coming and who is not.

The big tent has been reserved. I will also need to know who will be attending the Thursday evening convocation and sacrificial surf and turf burning at the convent...

The evening at the convent should not be missed. What a wonderful feast we had the past two years and I have no doubt this year will be as spectacular. Kristoff is a warm and gracious host.
