The list would be way too long. I estimate that there are over 100,000 voluntary eunuchs in north America, that'd be 1/2500 men. Many of them, if not most, have been visiting EA and other castration groups to get support. Once they have achieved their goal, they seem to lose interest. I have discovered EA in 1994, while I was seeking to be castrated (my first search on the web), then I found information and proceeded with it 1995. While on chem castration I lost interest in castration and visited sporadically EA and other Yahoo groups. When I quitted anti androgen in 2003. the interest came back and I started to visit EA and other groups more regularly. As far as I'm concerned, it seem that the higher my T level is, the more interest I have in castration. Most voluntary eunuchs use only a small amount of testosterone (if not at all) to avoid side effects, perhaps not enough to trigger their interest in visiting this group. I guess castrated EA members represent a very small percentage of the voluntary eunuchs. Also, I remember while Tribe was still on line, many of its castration group members didn't want to visit EA, because of the hard line of its administration.

No idea what the membership statistics are here but....with any large single interest group there will always be and ebb and flow of membership. This is a well run, interesting site so it's unlikely people leave due to outdated material and, thank you! no commercials. I've been a member of my University's Alumni Site for...as long as it's existed. I don't make comments since it's been over fifty years since my graduation but that doesn't mean I'm not interested and never drop by. I'm assuming there's a hard core of posters and a very much larger group of readers, watchers, curiosity seekers, thrill seekers (lets be honest, to be a male and say you are or will be castrated is something of a thrill, at least in thought, to many men.) and the public in general.
Publishing a list of those not lately seen isn't advisable. How would we feel if, in some cases, someone wrote in to say that one of those posted hadn't been around as they were deceased?

At the heart for a lot of us this is a fetish. Yes, our lives, especially for our spouses may be better if we realize the dream of being castrated, but that is only because we lose interest in sex and therefore fetishes, which is the source of both the friction with our spouse and interest in this site. So, after castration, they don't come back to the Eunuch Archive or to fuck their wives, or all the other women they tried to fuck before castration which caused the friction in the first place with their wives. Problem solved.

Maybe they are getting on with their lives and moved on. Or maybe they are too busy enjoying their new gender.

I didn't find this site until many years after castration. During those years my own life has been a good and very fulfilling one with no regrets whatsoever.
I have found this site to be an exemplary place of like minded folks who share their lives, concerns and stories with others to help along lifes journey.
What a noble thing to be some small help for another who you don't know nor may ever meet. Many come and glean what they can to move forward,
once achieving that have other desires and move on. It is such a grand thing to have seen through the many posts that folks get the help they need
and are then able to move on in their lives. Since finding this site I keep coming back for the camaraderie and the hope of making just one more bright
spot in somebodies life. As for me, I'll keep coming back and look forward to attending the next MOM. Everybody who continues to come in here
seems genuine to me and I hope the site continues for many years to come.

I suspect that the way people use this site changes depending where they are on their journey.
I've been lurking here for years, interested in peoples stories (real life - not the fiction ones!) but never quite feeling ready to do anything myself. Then last year I decided that it was time, so I registered and have spent a busy few months using the forum for research and asking lots of questions.
Now that I've started my chemical castration journey I find that I'm spending a little less time here, just logging in once or twice a day to see what's new, maybe make a post or two, and sometimes add to my blog.
Who knows how much I'll be here in a year or five years time. I might find that at some point I move on with my life, but hopefully I will have left an interesting account of my journey, and maybe a few useful answers to questions people may have. I've certainly found some of the posts left by people long gone to be very helpful.

Conspicuously absent from this thread is any acknowledgement of those who comitted suicide after their castration, I am specifically referring to The Fraj, a name and story familiar to many. I am not saying he committed suicide because of his castration, only that he commited it after. If this community is to be honest with itself we must admit that among the many reasons that drive men to castration is depression and a variety of other dysphorias. And hopefully the information on this site will help men decide on castration for the right reason. In the end castration is a choice and for many men it sets them free. Yet for others it didnt solve their problem. So let us take a moment to remember those who dissapeared because they are no longer alive.

The Fraj is alive and well, just not on this site. That whole incident was triggered by a "Dead Man Switch" he had on his PC, which went off while he was ill for a while, not related to castration.

Then I am mistaken. I seem to remember a prominent suicide on these message boards, it never left my mind. And reminded me that castration isnt something to be undertaken lightly.

I would suspect that this site probably has saved a few lives by trying to bring to those who might act on a fantasy how it is serious and permanent not something to be acting on if just a fantasy. I know I and many others have directed others to be patient, try chemical. If it is only a sexual fantasy don't do it seek help and some will listen to reason others won't.

It wasn't until I retired and had time away from everyday thoughts, responsibilities and obligations that I became focused and consumed by my thoughts of castration, which lurked in my mind since puberty. Initially, my reason for joining EA was to explore that which I truly desired as a possible reality. The information and experiences shared on here nudged me to move ahead to become a eunuch, after asking many questions, and seeking and receiving private message support from others with like-minded situations as mine.
It has been less than a year since I was fully castrated in two operations 10 months apart. I cannot express in words how happy I am to have proceeded to finally become a eunuch, and all the information and support from others on here. It is unlikely that I would have proceeded to becoming a eunuch were it not for the EA community, and the diverse experiences expressed here.
Like my username evolving from nutless2b to nutless1, my focus has shifted to giving back to the community. Like Begoneboy, I enjoy the camaraderie that is not possible locally or inin an ongoing manner, and the hope that I too can make someone's day and desire bright by that which sharing my experiences can offer. And it is my hope that I will be able to attend future MOM gathering(s).

It would be great to meet folks face to face who've shared the experience and be able to see the many different end results.
As for me my end results vary greatly from many in here. That is the beauty of it all. It is very personal to each of us in our
own way and we each strive for our own individual results. As for me, I was never this happy in my youth. There is nothing
about my journey that I would have changed including the end result that many in here might not appreciate. But then again
just as many would. EA wasn't a place I found until well after the many changes that have taken place in my life. I am glad that
I found the forum eventually for no other reason than to share with both my own experiences and those of many others. So many
of the topics are not things we talk about very often other than in here. While those who are in the transgender/transexual community
have many places to go to it is this small eunuch community who have very few places to share and learn with/from.
While I don't consider that I am transgendered or anything like that it becomes extremely rare to find a place as accepting of the
eunuch of all walks. Sure, I now present more female than male. That has to do with too much of this or that during my life.
But I am still the individual I was born which was to me neither male nor female. Many in the EA are truly manly men and I love
to see that. There are also many who are not quite so many but all man none the less. And there are even a few of the female
persuasion lurking but the information and experiences they glean from others in here may just save their lives and then they
disappear into their new lives. Good for those results as this is what I personally consider part of the success of EA.
In the end we can all celebrate every life that is not taken either by self or others. THAT IS THE SUCCESS of sites like EA.

This a truly sustaining community, and I am sure it has many times encouraged the poorly informed or doubtful to choose wisely.
This doesn't just happen. Please, an appreciative shout-out to the good folks who keep this zoo going!
All the same, I have noticed many seemingly good folks disappear, and I wish them well.
One can only wonder what became of the "regulars" from a while back.

For what it's worth, we lost a few active posters when we closed the political forums. And NO, they aren't coming back!

Just so.
I suspect that we also remember many others who were transitioning with the support of the good folk here.
There were some good folk who were here two, maybe three years ago, and are now quiet, hopefully happy.
I'd like to mention some special ones, but I'm unsure, not knowing how it is with them. -Hopefully good.

people come here for different reasons, they leave for different reasons, I came here to gain an understanding about my feelings, I talk to different people and find their reasons for thinking the way they do, it helps me understand why I want what I want, what is driving me to wanting to change my body to what I think it needs to be. when its done I cant say now how much I'll be on here, what I want done will change my emotions to a place I'm not at now, I don't know how I will feel for sure when its done, I may come here to find acknowledgement that I made the right decision, I may come here to share and help guide others to find what is right for them whatever that may be, but for now I cant say where I will be when all is done, I may never be here again, but in the mean time, thank you all for the guidance that most of you don't realize your giving me.

The most commonly cited reason is that after a time, those who leave feel that they have nothing left to offer here.
They have attained their goal, and move on with the life which they sought.
I think it is more
Paolo wrote: Tue Feb 07, 2017 1:23 am
that they have nothing left to
acquire here. They have plenty to offer, but let's face it human nature is far more about taking than giving. The "what's in it for me".

To be fair old posts remain and there's a gold mine of information here if you take the time to look for it. But I can see that if people have got what they want from the site unless they hang around for the social side, they probably lose interest and don't want to keep repeating their stories to new members, and giving out the same advice over and over again.
As a new member I'm very grateful to those who do choose to stay and are willing to give me advice.

I have been around here for quite a while but go long stretches without login in or posting. I've got all I can really get from here and don't have much to add but I make a relevant post now and then. I'm in Oman right now and my VPN is down so I can't log into most of the places I usually go to but just an FYI, The EA is not blocked by the governments of Bahrain or Oman. You'd be surprised how many other sites get blocked by the govt.
