I hate to oPUN an old wound but in my view even a bad joke is better than no joke at all. Some have let Eunuchism become a central point in their lives. If this is good or bad depends on the individual. Indeed, some may come here for hints on preventing this.

Jokes are different things to different people. Some use them aggressively, some use them for political coment and some people just plain LOVE to laugh.

Laughing is indeed good for the soul and it is a part of being human. To see that 'normalacy' is still in the lexicon of a Eunuch is an eye opening revelation in and of itself. Removing laughter and levidity from a web site in my view lowers it's level of humanity.

There are things that should never be done on this site. We must never, ever lose our humanity as individuals, either.

SO, Andrew, keep those jokes coming even if they are bad ones. PUNish us, please!

One of my previous companies had a big dinner after winning a

contract. Since the contract was in Scotland, they had the dinner in

a Scottish castle, flying folks in from all over the world.

In deference to some of the Vegan diners, the host asked the caterer

to leave that option open for those who wished it.

The big event finally came and the grand centerpiece of the meal was a

wonderful standing rib roast with tartan skirts on the ends. It was

carved with due ceremony and served to the group. Thats when the

hubbub started.

When the first Vegan was served the meal, she asked that it be taken

away, as she had plainly asked for a non-meat entre'. The waiter

tactfully explained that that is exactly what she'd been served. The

bone was not bone, but made from compressed carrot, similiar to some

dog bones and the "meat" was wonderfully textured soy protein. It

looked and tasted exactly like the rib roast.

"Well, if this is so close to the real thing, how do you tell the

difference?" asked the Vegan.

"Well, ma'am" explained the waiter, "The real roast has the skirt on

the end of the bone and the "fake" one does not. I can assure you

that no animals wore kilts in the making of your meal." 😭

Andrew (imported) wrote: Mon Jan 19, 2004 2:13 am Noted. I suppose this means I should not post a joke along the lines of.....

In Scotland, why do the Scots wear kilts?

To show their clan, family, or regional alliance.

In Scotland, why do visiting Americans wear kilts?

Because the sound of zippers make the sheep nervous.

.....so I won't. 🙄

Well I guess New Zealanders must do the same thing when they visit Scotland and for the same reason. But of coarse in New Zealand the sheep wouldn't particularily notice the sounds of zippers dropping because their used to it!

Keep it. To quit it would be like the business that discontinued a product because they sold it so fast it was hard to keep it in stock.

I was driving home from work tonight and listening to the radio. The topic was the government's crack down on obscenity in the media. I was thinking how bland things will become in the future if the FCC succeeds in making tapioca out of the first amendment. I vote to keep the jokes section and when offended I will say so and be ready to debate the issue.

There are many moderated areas in the EA for the safe discussion of topics such as castration and penectomy. Perhaps folks that don't want to be exposed to an opposing point of view or a bad joke should consider unplugging the modem.

But that is just my opinion.
