Don't forget to see the Feline Show of Performing Arts at River's house. Rupert, the amazing cat, is the star. Rupert will demonstrate how he tames the dog and River himself :)

The Midwest MOM is a great experience for those who have never attended. For those who have, it is a wonderful time to renew friendships and make new ones while having a terrific time.

I will not be able to make it this year. I justed started a new job in Chicago and cannot get time off to attend.

I want blueberry pancakes in sugar free syrup. Yes, I will indulge in a few. ;)

Won't kill me, I'm sure.

You can survive a few blueberry pancakes & syrup. Your sugar count is always lower than mine :)

It is hard to believe that in just 3 weeks we will be arriving at the MOM. Time really flies. Excited to meet all the friends again. Catch up on what is going on.

Looking for the butter churn at home for the MOM. Oh wait River has his own. Only used once to make butter.

Looking forward to the pancakes again. You do make the greatest.

This MoM sounds really good, I wish I could come, sadly I live thousands of miles away! Maybe next year, I love meeting new people especially people with similar interests, always makes for good conversation!

Paolo wrote: Wed Jul 14, 2010 4:34 am Wonders if we're having fresh churned butter this year???

I missed out on last years freshly churned butter.

I hope River can make some other concoction that we can enjoy or at least watch as it becomes a sentient being.

The BBQ at the Convent is two weeks from today. There will be good food and good company. If you are still thinking about attending, now is the time to let Bobbie know so that he can send you the information.

Eat the steak with your bare hands. That's what your teeth are for - to rip into it like a primal beast!

YES! With the Red Nun and the Evil Overlord going at it with light sabers while half the kids in the place peek through the doorways to see why we're having so much fun. Every year we've had some wanting to abandon their parents and join us....

The first person to arrive from out of town will be here today a week early.

He is flying in from Chicago, he has been visiting another member who lives in southern Missouri, his home is somewhere west of here, he knows all about how the archive works, he has been seen in the chat room under several names,

He will be at my house tonight, hes name is . . . . . . . . . . .

Change in Menu,

On Saturday morning you can have plan Butter Milk Pancakes

or

we will have blueberries to add if you wish. :D

Also there will be a demonstration on how to make home made butter before pancakes are started,

Everybody give Paolo a big hand for volunteering for this and showing everybody how its done. I of course will provide the bowl.

Only ONE WEEK to go before the MoM, and already it's an INTERNATIONAL EVENT with the arrival of IE at the Mothership!

The first scheduled event will be the BBQ at the Convent (Kristoff's house) on Thursday, August 5th.

There's still time to plan to attend. I'm waiting to see the Dark Overlord turn cream into butter with a wave of his lightsaber.

Someone at the MOM, please buy IEunuch an ice cold non-American beer. We know how grumpy he gets if he is denied his beer ration. Besides, it he enjoys the MOM (beer-wise) he'll be less of a biatch when he returns to Canada 🙏

I wasn't the one who created the mobile, sentient butter last year!

LOL

I will be cooking something else at the Nun's, so be ready for a nice high-fat, low-carb dish.

We are already also committed to taking IE to "Famous Dave's", as he missed it last time.

Look out Paolo, if Dave's serves beer. IEunuch says he can drink any Dark Lord or Red Nun under the table :P

I sent you an e-mail Mr T. On the location and times.

Would be very great to see you again.

P.S. Bring along 2 or 3 of your gold necklaces for each of the attendees.

I was very much looking forward to this MoM. Due to complications with work I will not be able to attend. I had even purchased my plane ticket. One of their children who is a primary care giver and schedules my hours overlapped our vacations. Since she had not had time off from work and parental care responsibilities for over a year and I was in Paris not too long ago I gave up my vacation.

I will miss you all. Of course I have this ticket that I can use with the same air carrier and maybe somewhere there might be a Fall MoM or a Spring MoM somewhere.
