As anyone who lives in the area knows, there are two seasons in Minn.

Winter and Roadwork.

If for no other reason a good reason to live in Wisconsin.

If anybody is around Friday morning I will be making Biscuits and Gravy, eggs on the side if you like.

Hi River,

If I'm not feeling the ill effects from partying too much on Thursday night, I'd love to join you for breakfast. Sound yummy!

JesusA wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2009 5:12 am It's CONSTRUCTION season in the north country. All rooms at the motel where Paolo and I have stayed for previous MoMs will be filled with construction workers. Instead, I've booked a room at another motel nearby. The rooms are a bit smaller (but in a much newer facility) and they are also considerably cheaper. I've worked a deal with them that anyone who uses my name when they register should get $10 per night off the regular rate.

Since the prices are lower, I've booked the "Executive Suite" for our Friday afternoon wine and cheese. It will run from 3:00 until we leave for the "Hog Trough" for Friday dinner.

For all who plan to attend, send a <Private Message> to either me or to Bobbie for details on the new place. I look forward to seeing everyone on Friday, August 7. There will be food and drink and camaraderie.

whats wrong with construction workers ?

Nothing wrong with them, they've just clogged the motels....

I am not sure what to expect at every MOM. But if Sister is wearing red shoes and starts to click her heals together. It is time to leave. OH MY!

Each MOM is so different. Each is so great.

Everyone on my list of attending should have received a letter today. If you did not please contact me. Do not want to leave any one out.

There will be 15 attendees this year. I guess the interest MoM's is gone. Each year it grows smaller and smaller.

I woould guess the economy plays a major role.

I suspect that economy this year has a lot to do with it. I've been keeping count since the first one I attended (9 people) through last year. Each was bigger than the last. This year will see the first drop in numbers, though it looks like it will be a very great drop in numbers. There were gatherings before I became aware of the Archive. I suspect that they were smaller yet.

The MoMs are always great fun. If you're within driving distance, consider joining us for at least part of the time. You'll be glad you did.

2 years ago was our high number. Last year was down and this year is down even further. Oh we who are there, will have fun. But it appears the interest is diminishing. MoM's are just not something of interest anyone in this group it appears.

15 is fine, we will have a wonderful time of that I am sure.

Next year the economy will be much better and we will have a lot more people. I am not concerned about the number this year, I actually thought it would have been even lower.

We had one in 2001, sort of unexpected.

I drove north to get away for a while.

There was me, Talula, Gem, Bboy, Krister, Robby, & Flo.

As I recall, we watched "Last Eunuch in China". Worst movie ever made...

Harry Potter 1 and LOTR1 had just come out, and Talula was bitching about LOTR and no Tom Bombadil. I always hated Bombadil in the books...

Since eunuch's are basically detesticled, How about, instead of having a "MOM" have a "Detesticled Festival" at the annual Testicle Festival. August 4-8, 2010, in Rock Creek Lodge, Clinton Montana. These folks might really appreciate eunuchs. But be careful, they all have knives and they slice, dice, fry, roast, grill and eat testicles.

I missed that first get together but I was at the second one, it was Robby, Kristoff, Talula, Luvpain, Paolo and myself, we spent the hottest weekend of the last 100 years in a camp ground with no shade, we had a great time.

We have had many sense and I am sure we will have many more, the numbers may vary due to one reason or another but I have never been to one where I did not have the time of my life.

I am looking forward to cooking breakfast's again for everybody and I have a special treat in store for everybody Saturday night, it has all the wrong things in it, high in sugar, calories, very rich. A Must Have if you can have that sort of thing.

Hi,

I'm really getting excited to see all of you again. In less than 42 hours from now I'll be in the Twin Cities and ready for some real fun with all in attendance. So far the weather forecast looks wonderful and very much like summer.

To those who can't make it this year, I'll miss you and I'll be thinking of you, when I'll be able to think. 😄 I'm so looking forward to seeing all of you again and getting reacquainted over a glass of wine or a nice dry martini.

Get ready Twin Cities, this girl is heading north! :D
