I had the same thing at my post-op review appointment, and it turned into a urinary stricture needing a second surgery. You'll probably be fine, but pay attention to if you start experiencing trouble urinating, and if you do, get in touch with the doctor quickly.

I joined your way.... The skin around the opening grew too close together and made the opening too small. Urinating became quite difficult. Yesterday I went to the doctor and he made a small incision. Now it's better and hopefully it will last. The next days and weeks will show.

Healing is now complete and almost everything is fine, but the area above the pubic bone could be shaped more flat. Maybe it will improve during the next months. If not, that might need a second surgery in the future. But currently I don't have any plans for this and wait how the area develops.

Sorry to hear that you had a stricture, when it starts to close over it's not a lot of fun. I hope the incision your doctor made helps to keep it open, that would be a better outcome than having to endure a second surgery to repair it.

Thanks! Yes, such a stricture does not only cause discomfort, but also some kind of panic because you don't know if it will become even worse and perhaps close completely. At the moment the incision did work and urinating is within an acceptable range. Some time it occurred that the opening seemed to be stuck together, but after some pressure it "popped" open and the stream was normal. Maybe there's some healing process that caused this.

Don't make your decision too much dependent on outer influence. YOU must be deeply convinced and need to have the feeling that nullification is right for you, not someone else.

Congrats on your progress. Very wise words. It was totally my decision and I'm very happy. Certainly can't have all the parts removed for someone else. It's a very personal decision.

Initially I was a little distraught over the "size" of my reroute area but I was assured by my surgeon that he would do the best to create zero complications post-op. It is because of the "structure" that he built that I believe I haven't had any issues with stricture. If it closes completely, it becomes an emergency very quickly so I'm glad you are getting things fixed up and working properly.

I've also talked to a plastic surgeon to basically do a "lift" to the area of the mons pubis to achieve a more flat result. I was warned about that by 2 doctors prior to my surgery that there would be fatty tissue remaining but they assured me that it was a plastic surgery procedure and I felt it was too much to arrange the logistics of multiple surgeons in the room during my initial nullification surgery. Now that it's done, it will be a simple procedure and the incision will be placed in a fold above my pubic area that should heal well. It's not terrible expensive and he said I'd be pretty normal in a week or so after the plastic procedure. Things are opening slowly and may consider it soon.

Keep up the great progress and congrats on finally obtaining your nullification. I'm very happy and have no regrets at this point.

I'd be very interested in what the doctor told you the flattening would entail, and what makes you say it will come at a cost that is not terrible. It's something I've been considering, as I'm sure many other nullos have.

I'm also interested in further information about that. In my case there seems to be still some little swelling inside, so it might improve a bit. But if not, it would be great to know about some options for flattening.

Not to highjack the thread but I thought it could be done with liposuction to reduce the bulge of the mons pubis. During my consultation he said it doesn't work that way and he would basically do a "lift" of that area and remove the fatty tissue behind it. I knew that made the price go up and I put a number in my head to see how close I would come. He would remove about 2 inches of skin across about an 8 inch incision in the fold of skin above the area. This will tighten the area and provide the smooth look I believe I desire. Without this, the skin would sag and look really bad. My current incision is healing amazing and is becoming very fine even after just 7 months.

Both surgeons I consulted with about the nullification surgery pointed out the mons pubis and they encouraged me to consider it to make sure I would be happy after the main surgery. Neither was willing to do the mons pubis reduction during the main surgery unless I arranged for a plastic surgeon to be and complete the procedure.

Before COVID, the cost came in at $7600 in and out the door, everything included. He said I'd be back to normal activity in less than 7 days. I know plastic surgeons are supposed to be the best with incisions so I think it will be fine but I'm just worried about an 8 inch incision healing. Turns out I put $8000 in my brain, so it came in "under budget", haha.

Thanks for your explanation. Is the $7600 just for the flattening surgery? That's not a little number...

In my case the vertical incision was extended across the mons pubic, but I think there was not enough skin removed on both sides, so there's almost no tightening up of the mons pubic area. A little below where the penis was the skin is much more tight. This currently results in a relatively prominent mons pubic. I still hope this will get better in the future.

It is great that you were able to get the surgery. I desire the same but do not currently have any possibility of getting it.

Today is my 3 month nulloversary. Not much news to report. The scar is healed quite good, but I still have some trouble with the urethra opening. It is still too small, the little incision which was made a few weeks ago didn't work. Now I'm considering if stretching step by step over a longer period of time might work better.

Just another thing. My glans was placed under the skin, hoping it would keep some sensitivity. Currently I wouldn't do that again and think of getting it removed. The feelings when touched are not pleasurable and there's a little bulge visible. In my case there are currently more negative points than positive. Just wanted to mention that. But in general I'm still happy about the result.

Exactly what LT already said. In simple words, during penectomy the glans including the belonging blood vessels and nerves was separated from the penis and placed below the skin.

My surgeon talked me into moving the nerves saying he didn't want to "take those nerves off the table" incase I wanted to be orgasmic. I too am rethinking that decision but there is no bulge or notice to them unless I touch that area. I'm able to cum about as easy as I could before. It's still rather milky and very sticky, much to my surprise.

Biggest thing that really bothers me is a muscle the contracts as if my penis is being pulled up when hard. I started researching if Botox would be an option to see how it feels if immobile. Botox is approved for use in the groin so I may be able to get it done.

Time for another update. As mentioned before, I have had some issues with a stricture. Two little treatments weren't successful, so I had an additional little surgery to get the urethra opening fixed two weeks ago. I took the chance and decided to get the glans removed during the same procedure. Currently I'm still not healed completely and having still some swelling. As far as I can tell so short afterwards, the surgery was successful and peeing is very easy now, much better than after the first surgery. Hope it will continue to work well. And having the glans removed feels also good.

Hey,

So glad to hear you are doing good. Also, it's great that you have found doctors who are so helpful.

Time goes by really quickly. Today is my 9 month "anniversary" and almost 4 months since the revision of the urethra opening. The revision was successful as peeing is now possible without any issues. I don't regret having the glans removed during the revision, either. It feels much better now. Everything is healed nicely and things are normal. The extra space down there feels really good, I enjoy this very much.

But achieving orgasm is still very difficult, if not impossible. Recently I was close to it completely by accident, but via active stimulation didn't work so far. I'm not unhappy about it, as being less sexual sensitive was one of my reasons for having the penis removed.

The visual appearance could be a litte bit better, as the lower part looks a bit too female and there's still some fatty bubble in way of the pubic bone. But these things don't bother me too much, so there's no urgent need to get that fixed. And I'm simply not keen on a further surgery.

All in all not much to tell, life is now as normal as possible. I really like being a nullo and wish it could have happened some decades earlier in my life.

Never heard of what a vagina looks like? Unfortunately, it's a little bit too much like this.
