Taming Puberty.

Remember puberty? Wasn't it FUN? Don't you wish that you had an anti-androgen at your disposal to ease you through it?
You have seen this in the news: A teen-ager is charged with some sex crime, forcibly simulating a sex act on a classmate/team-mate, fondling a minor in his charge, etc. Obviously, this boy is having a hard time going through puberty. I dare say it really isn't his fault, but more the fault of "raging hormones". Of course, we all went through it & most of us came out OK but there ARE those guys who are simply not emotionally mature enough do deal with their new-found desires.

What a great idea. It would keep him from getting a girl pregnant also.

I have always been of the mind that puberty should be optional. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to just trigger it when the boy feels he's ready, or shut if off if he's not?
:p

Paolo's suggestion sounds like a good story idea for someone.
By the way, Paolo, I've just noticed the wording on your t-shirt. Did you have two peanuts under the bottom of your garment at the time or were they more substantial?

You'll notice the "P" is covered. Yes, they were there and quite small. Still are small, in fact. About the size of Almond M&M's. I think it was Linus and snoopy on the shirt.

Plezherus,
In this day and age any girl who becomes pregnant has to...
1. be Careless
2. intend to get pregnant
3. be just plain stupid.
or 4. be some combination of #2 and #3.
Controlling sex is not an option for the masses. It is just for us here because we are DIFFERENT.
It would have been my wish in my youth to have found some females who were as horny as I was. That is more possible in this day and age, but it usually means STD's.
Indeed, I feel that female sexuality is stifled by STD's such as human papilloma virus and others that cause them a lot of problems but don't affect men except to make them carriers. Indeed, AIDS has affected the sexual state of the world forever.
So, the concept of sexual education is the only hope because we must face one undeniable FACT that has been proven time and time again throughout the ages in the history of humanity.
People will never stop fucking.

You wanna take that away?
For what?
LIterature?
Science?

It would be nice to see the introduction of the eunuch lifestyle into the public school system. Young boys may want to seek castration prior to puberty. Having the subject introduced at this early age would allow the individual to discuss with their parents the viablity of castration before the changes of puberty have begun.

Well Andrew.
I think we're quite of opposite positions ..., in the result.
What do you think of "sex" as a power that forces us to interact with each other, even if it's painfull, strenuous, and even costly?
Normal and important natural function to provide behaviour that otherwise would be prohibited by other natural functions.
But both needed.

Do the phrases "excessive libido" or "uncontrolable libido" suggest anything? When I was talking with Dr. Spector about my problems, he noted that a good percentage of his practice came from men with this problem, and that included me.

A-1,
I believe that you cannot combine the words 'Jerry Springer' and 'morals' in the same sentence. The man has none. Grandpa loves to watch that show; it makes me ill. Father's Day on Springer's show? Now that would be a good one ...
As far as the issue of young adults, teens, kids, what-have-you, being introduced to castration issues, well, I have only this to add:
As some of you who have chatted with me or have known me for a while may know, I spent 6 weeks with a child psychologist when I was 11 or so (35 now). And why, you might ask? Because during a physical examination, after much reading of some pilfered books, I bluntly asked my GP if castration was still performed on boys for various reasons. The books I'd read at that time neglected to mention that the Pop got all huffy about it in 1878 and put a stop to it!
Well, needless to say, all hell broke loose over that one! I honestly think the poor man who got stuck with trying to diagnose my little psyche was afraid of me! Of course I agreed with him and did what he said; I wanted to get AWAY from him.
While the idea of optional puberty and the eunuch lifestyle at younger and younger ages is a nice one, at least in some people's books, it simply isnt' going to happen. Hell, a boy can't even pee outside in his own yard without DFC / Welfare showing up to launch an investigation! We're only inches away from showers/baths in swimwear!
Looking back at all the chaos I caused back then, I can't begin to imagine what would happen if an 11 yo. posed that question today. The damn buzzards are always out there, circling, waiting to try and take children away from their parents. And I'm running out of places to hide the bodies, too.

I never meant to imply that teens should be permanently castrated, merely given anti-androgens to delay puberty or lessen its severity. Castrating teen-agers, though a nice thought, would never fly here.

Haven't there been a few isolated cases of teenage M-to-F transsexuals who want to become female so badly, and know that their testicles are causing their bodies to irreversibly grow more masculine, and end up chopping off their own nuts since they can't/don't know how to get outside help?

happousai, I never heard of any or read about any.
Maybe you should write a story and post it. It sounds like a TREMENDOUS plot for somebody.
How about it, any takers?

I wanted to apoligized for solidifying the whole idea of childhood castration into this thread. Obviously a subject that does not warrant any further discusion. In fact, the comments were a jab at the public school system.
As far as Jerry Springer. That guy makes me sick, too. I can hardly turn on the set and watch a bunch of disgusting, small minded, ill spirited weaklings, sitting out in the audience ganging up on some poor hapless freaks. The show makes me sick.
It would be nice to see a post-op midget kick Jerry ass. That I would pay to see.
"Jerry, Jerry, Jerry"
Sounds like a dead concert to me.

...and it doesn't take much fro a numb-brained crowd to turn "Unkle John's Band" into "Unkle Tom's Cabin".
Then try to sing it that way!

Just a follow up. There have been sever cases in the Jounal of Pediatric Psychology ont he issue of tg teens. Many have taken matters 'into thier own hands' no pun intended.
One male had gone as far as to use an electric carving knife on is penis.
But all that aside. If I had had the OPTION to I would have been interested. Alas, they thought I needed t. (didn't hit puberty till my junior year)

I have a close friend who's son was born without balls. We both were surprised to hear this is not all that rare too. Becuase of this he was able to choose IF he had a puberty, and if so than WHEN and at what intensity even. He chose at 13 to have it, which was this year BTW, he had implants put in last year to make him look more like his peers, but this year he decided to go all the way and have his puberty. Imagine that, being able to choose such a thing. IF it is too much for him he can also reduce the dosages he is on, or if he wants it speeded up he can have the dosages increased too (within limits of course).
So this is not exactly fantasy, it is just a rare thing.

Hello, Tom.
Been a while since we chatted. Glad to hear that the little guy is doing OK; hope the HRT goes well for him. Of course, he's probably not so little now, since the last time we were comparing notes on raising boys!
The condition of being born without testicles at ALL is known as "anorchia" and several sites can be found with a simple web search on the subject.
One interesting one I found was a note on a bulletin board from 1999 at
http://www.medhelp.org/perl6/urology/archive/4294.html
Another link :
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency ... 001185.htm
Of course, the height of my worries right now are glasses, braces, and broken bones! 5 boys, 10 testicles ... everything's in place here.
But all joking aside, if anything were to happen to any of them, I am really not sure what I'd do.
As the other thread states, can the boy really be informed enough to make his own decision (which I doubt) ... or am I just going along with the notion of "boys must be boys?"
It's a thought to ponder - what if your friend's boy had refused HRT? It's not really the same as the issue of minor castration, since nature sent him on out without all of the equipment in place, but it still has me thinking.

I just had a thought:
If a boy is born without testicles, and then goes on HRT, does that mean he'll be dependent on (and presumably have to pay for?) HRT for the rest of his life in order to avoid osteoperosis?
(Does anyone know whether osteoperosis affects the Hijra from India, btw?)
