This is essentially a repost of a question I asked back on the old message board. I received some good answers, but the board went down within 48 hours of the post and I lost all information. Since I see we have several new members, and they might be interested in this as well, I'll repost the following:

I have read quite a few stories on the archive where a man's severed penis is preserved by taxidermy and used as a dildo by his lover. This makes great fantasy, but in real life the practice would be very unhygienic. I'm not even too sure how the severed penis would respond to taxidermy. From most pictures I've seen, a severed penis is a rather pathetic-looking piece of flesh - probably best just to dispose of it. However, I want to relate a story that piqued my interest years ago.

Back in the early 1970's I was sitting in the waiting room of a dentist's office. Bored, I picked up one of those women's magazines that men would usually never look at (Redbook, I think). There was an article directed at women whose husbands were going to undergo penectomies for medical reasons.

One physician, reported success in helping couples cope with the husband's penectomy. His was a novel method, and required that the penectomy be planned in advance. He would have the husband make a plaster cast of the his erect penis before the operation. This cast would become the master mold from which a theoretically infinite number of plastic penises could be molded. It worked kind of like those plastic worm kits that fishermen use to mold their own plastic worms.

The article said that these plastic penises were very realistic and reproduced all the veins and skin ridges of the husband's original penis. Apparently, the doctor had been doing this for several years, and included quotes from several satisfied wives in his article. When the dildo finally became worn or dirty, all the couple had to do was cast another plastic penis from the mold.

Among the answers to my earlier post, I received urls of places that sold casting material for making casts of body extremities like hands and feet. From the casts, you can make plastic copies of hands, fingers, toes, etc. Presumably, this is mostly a novelty toy aimed at kids. (I wonder how many adults use this stuff to make casts of those "other" extremities?)

Anyway, if anyone still knows those urls for the plastic novelty kits, please be kind enough to repost here. This time I will try to save the material and give it a permanent home on my website and club.

One good place to get the stuff cheap is called 'Michael's' and it's an arts and crafts store. They sell the stuff to make the mold of the penis, and they also sell stuff to reproduce it in ... well it's like plaster of paris I guess, except that once set it kind of had the feel and look of ceramic.

There are some websites that sell the complete kit including the plastic/rubber stuff to make it more like a conventional dildo.

It seels a kit to do casting of various parts of the body. One kit is enough for a "hand" and that should definately do your penis.

I recalled seeing a kit to do just that, in a catalog I get. I went thru the recycle bin, and managed to find the catalog. They sell 2 kits for casting your penis and making a dildo out of it. Well in my case, I don't think so, but I don't have any current desires to have my penis removed.

I've actually DONE this. I was talking to a friend one nigth, bored off my ass. For some reason we got to talking about my cock, and before I knew it, I had promised to make her a copy of mine for X-mas. I had everything I needed already, so I started working right away.

Materials I used:

Plaster of Paris (residential grade, 8 min set): $9.00 for a 30 lb bag

An old paper cup, and some modelling clay (for the seal) (free?)

Mold Builder liquid latex: about $7.00

Vaseline: again, free (left-over from previous castings)

(do this in the bathtub with the stopper in, or on a trash bag laid out on the floor)

1 Cut out bottom of cup

2 mold clay around bottom of cup

3 SHAVE WELL

4 vasoline the hell out of that bugger

5 mix the plaster

6 cock in cup

7 plaster in cup with cock

8 wait until plaster is hard

9 pull out cock

10 pour mold builder into plaster casting, pour back out (you have to build it up in layers, unless you're using a curing rubber)

11 when you've got a decently thick (thick enough that you can pull it out without damaging the casting, pull the cock out of the plaster

12 fill/mount/paint as you please (the first one I made, I painted with black and red cow spots, and filled with beads, mounted onto a bicycle hand-grip)

O I tried to make a mold of my cock back then, It took 5/10 minutes as I rememberer, with out any movement. My Dick got soft, and the stuff slumped, ruining the mold. I did however make a Perfect mold of my right index finger, perfect down to Fingerprints.

I tried something different to make a mold of my cock. While hard, I wrapped my penis with blue 3M masking tape, then I read some of the writings here on the Archive. Moments after reading some of the jokes, I was able to free myself from the blue tape and found the perfect mold of my dick.

Now all I need is Plaster of Paris (http://www.artmolds.com/ali/history_plaster.html) for that treasured keepsake.

But in all reality, I'd rather cast my dick in Plaster of Paris then capture the fiesty guy in Silicone (http://www.smooth-on.com/silicones.asp)...
