Hi everyone. I have a question for the community. I would like answers from people who are Eunuchs and have been castrated. The issue is this. I am wondering how long does it take for testotserone to be out of ones body after, they are castrated by removal of the testicles. There are many articles on this subject, but I would like to hear what REAL EUNUCHS know for themselves, not from some book, or article on the net. I would like to know your symptoms, changes in thinking, changes in body. I hope you all can give me the REAL STORY! Thank you, spankey2:dong:

For me it was about 3 weeks for the sex drive to disappear, though with coaxing I could get an erection and ejaculate. By the 5th week, my erections were weaker and my cum dried up to only a couple of drops. At that point I had an appointment to see my doctor, and I was put on testosterone so I don't know what would have happened if I had gone longer.

When my sex drive disappeared it was just kind of a spontaneous thought in my own mind when I realized it. I didn't even notice it was gone until one evening I thought about how nice sex was and didn't feel like jacking off or doing anything about the thoughts. I simply went right back to what I was doing when the thought entered my head, without a care that I didn't get off.

Castration dose not stop all testosterone your adrenal glands produce a very small amount

Depending what side effects your looking for time varies

For me I would say 1 to 2 weeks that i was abel to notice And not to retype what has already been said : losethem summed it pretty good

I might suggest use a chemical castration drug first for up to a year, this is what I did (Androcur) and I noticed a change at about 2 weeks in. Your body will go through a lot of changes some good some not so fun and some will be medical changes that you should be aware of. Hot flashes, bone loss, mood swings, depression, body hair loss, etc. Remember in the words of Andrew, Your mileage will very.

After my castration, it took about 3 weeks to start feeling the effects of declining testosterone. After about a month, the full effects were there. Erections became quite difficult to produce, and if I could masturbate to orgasm there was no cum at all.

2 to 3 weeks before I noticed erection "limitation". But no one seems to have mentioned the hot flushes (which I perversely enjoyed) and restless nights (within the first two weeks), or was that just me? I went off physical exercise within the month, and it was a real effort to motivate myself. I suppose everyones journey varies from the next person.

It was something like 9 months after my castration before my sex drive truly started to decline significantly.

Now nearly 3 years after castration my sex drive seems to be quite flat. Only when I'm aroused does it come around, and even then if I'm distracted for a moment I might very well lose interest completely.

I was in y third week when hot flashes startred. Very mild. But by the 4th week the hot flashes were obvious but still tolerable. When I wnet in for my checkup, the Dr. put me on TRT to keep bone lss from happening. Since my castratin was due to medical problems (not cancr, though) I had to agree to the TER before I could get the surgery. since my insurance covers it, I said yes. However, evn on the TRT, my sexual desired faded quite a bit. I was given the 5 gram tume of Testim. Now I am on Androgel, same dosage. I apply it evr other day. Actually, This month I am trying a hald of a pack every day. (2.5 gm) It has actually increased the amount of erectins I have been having and have had more sexual desires as well as ability to perform.

I am now thinking of going to a ahlf pack every oter day to see what effects that has. I am mainly interested in ensuring that osteoporosis does not develop.

Of the many health issues of eunuchs bone loss is very real and you should have a bone scan at least every 2 years. Osteoporosis is not something you feel until its to late, that is when you fall and break your hip.

Hot flashes, I still have mild ones once in a while, that first 2 years were very heavy intense flashes. Remember what is true for one may not apply to another but one thing in very true, you must see your doctor on a regular basis and get those blood test and bone scans. You are not playing with the same deck of cards you were before.

I worked at a Hospital doing maintenance the doctors told me it takes about a month to feel the effects and their right at 4 weeks getting weak, full blown hot flashes erections was getting soft lets not forget Depression WOW.......

I Just had my first boon scan last month after being castrated 22 years ago found out I was at a -2 they called it Osteopenia at -2.5 full blown Osteoporosis so I have to make changes now before I get any worse, it was through the archive I found out about Osteoporosis. doc said I am more except-able to brakes at this point and to be careful.

Castrated by choice...

While I have only been physically castrated for just under a year, I was dependant on HRT for many years before that. My personal experience is that going for just a few days without T causes me to lose interest in sex, unless stimulated by a partner.

After 2-3 weeks , I reach the point of hot flashes, mild at first but getting worse as the days pass. With them comes a loss of erection ability, and a total lack of sexual desire.

By 6 weeks, I have no sexual energy at all, either for others or myself.

I enjoy sex, and with a regular dose of HRT, I am way more capable sexually than I ever was with testicles. God bless HRT

I had both testicles removed due to injury. I didn't know that my testicles were not working and I didn't have the testosterone levels for years. What I do know is that everyone is different. I only know what happens when I stopped the replacement therapy. Within a week, I started to feel like crap and depressed. Really depressed. I had hot flashes after two weeks.

You got make people with experience here. The symptoms are pretty much the same.

Just remember, you might have a different experience to the timing of the symptoms might be different. Otherwise, you can expect things to change. Libido, sexual function, emotions.

Thanks River. I have been on AndroGel for the past two years. Before that, it was Testim. Both are for 5gram doses. Applied every other day. I was not haveing much sex drive on it. My Pharmacist said it sould be evry day for a good level of Testosterone. When I decided to use 1/2 of a tube daily, I seem ot have more sex drive and energy. And this would be only on 2.5 g (or 25mg daily). I plan to tell my doctor about the change and see if he will put me on the 2.5 dosage daily. He seems to think he will have to prescribe the pump for me to go to this but my pharmacist says it does come in the 2.5 package.

I have gone four days between the 5 gm. dose being applied. I don't seem to have any ill effects from the dosage but feel better now on the 2.5 daily. Even got a little more length I had lost in my cock. Not much but some from 5 cm to 6.cm and I have only been doing it since Sept. 1.

The information that comes in each package of the prescription tells you whene to apply it. Basically...Testim is supposed to be applied only to the shoulders. AndroGel can be applied on the shoulders and the stomach. Both brands say to NOT apply it to the genitals. I imagine it is because of the high alcohol content in it would burn. Not sure of that.

I have wondered that, with not testicles, could you apply it to that area but have not tried it. Doing well with the shoulders.

when i used androgel, i put it on my shoulders and upper arms. the doctor told me that the key was to avoid excessively hairy places where the body hair would absorb the gel and keep it from being absorbed into the skin.

The alcohol would make it burn, and also because the scrotal skin will absorb much more testosterone into the blood than if applied to the usual areas.

Also, I know at one time Androgel was being made in 2.5 Gram packs. Not sure if it still is, but if it is, one of those everyday would seem like a good option for you.

Well, they don't want it to raise levels too much, and it has already been tested for the upper body application. If people start using it on the scrotum, it may raise it more. (which I of course think is a good thing)

I've used it on the scrotum before. Doesn't burn too bad and it only burns until the alcohol gets evaporated. But if you really want more testosterone, I would get the Andromen from Australia, as it's not alcohol based and is applied to the scrotum. And yes, it raises levels through the roof!

As a side note, I think the makers of Androgel and Testim are purposely making their product with the minimum amount of testosterone in it, so you have to use more of that extremely expensive gel. See, they make it at only 1% testosterone, and why not just make it at 2% and tell people to use half the amount? It would save people big bucks.
