MOM Meeting Of Members.
Dates set
Aug 5, 6, 7, 8
Thurs 5 BBQ at night
Friday 6 Group Dinner at restaurant.
Saturday 7 Main event. Morning till late night.
Sunday 8 Breakfast lunch.
Details to follow.Once again we will be having the annual MidWest MOM. All activities should be about the same as prior years. The location is near Minneapolis. The date is not finalized yet. Will post it in the next few days.
It is a meeting of members of this site. We have some activities on Thursday and Friday nights. The big event is held Saturday in a picnic type atmosphere. We have an extended event on Sunday morning for those still around. Food and drink provide.
It is a time for members to meet one another. No real program. We all sit and chat with one another. The subjects are all over the place. Some on eunuch topic's. People move from one group to another. Great time to put a face to a person from the message board or chat room. Think everyone walks away from the MOM with more incite on there own life. You feel that you are not alone in castration interest. Reassurance that you are not strange or weird. We have about 20 that are old timers. People that have been present for many year. Each year we get some great new faces.
We welcome new members. You have to be a member of the site. You also have to be willing to have a few laugh's and have fun.
All sexual or none sexuality's come. TS TG TE with gender or genderless are most welcome. We have married as well.

Come one come all, I understand the Dark altar boy of the Sith will meet his match at the all you can eat on Thursday night. Something that will be talked about for years to come, hell we may never be invited there again if all goes well, that is IF he show up.

So I know this sounds like an extremely dumb question but here I go anyway..... When you say "member of the site" are you referring to registered posters, or some higher form of membership? I used to teach, so I know the truth; there really are dumb questions and sometimes I have to ask them.

If you are registered as a member here (so that you can receive <Private Messages> with details about time and place, you are invited to the gathering. We hope to see you at the MoM.
It's always great fun as a social occasion to meet and talk informally with some of the other members. The Midwest MoM (held at locations in and around Minneapolis) always begins with a BBQ at the Convent (Sister Kristoff's). There's a wine-and-cheese gathering in the motel room shared by Paolo and me, followed by dinner at the "Hog Trough," a local all-you-can-eat where The Dark Lord usually entertains all of the kids present with his light saber. (Some year we may get thrown out for having too much fun and laughing too loudly!) Saturday and Sunday are spent at the adjacent homes/backyards of Riverwind and Talula.
The West Coast MoM, which will be held about an hour north of San Francisco in June will run a somewhat similar format with food, drink, and camaraderie.

Not a dumb question at all. As I say in the bottom of the thread.

We would expect all to be a member of the site. The fact that you can post to the message board means that you are already a member. For an idea on what others have said about last years, see the threads.

I highly recommend this wonderful event. I may not make it this year. Unlike the last two Midwest MoMs, I will no longer live right in the center of things but hundreds of miles away. I'll have to wait and see what my job situation is.

I know I haven't been very active on the boards as of recent, but I'm intending to attend this year if such an idle member such as myself is still welcomed.
I've already scheduled the time off from work with a 2 day buffer on each side of the event. I'm going to make one hell of a road trip out of it and drive from the Gulf coast to the other end of the country w/ a stay over at my aunts (if she'll have me).
With the summer coming up, I'm awfully glad my car gets 35~mpg.

Everybody is welcome to come, the more the better. We enjoy each others company and the food, don't forget the food. If you are lucky you may meet the Red Nun, meet the dark overlord, the head and past heads of the archive and many of the good people that keep this site going.
Events start Thursday and continue through Sunday afternoon, come early and stay late or anything in between.

Can I get some biscuit and sausage gravy out of ya? If not I'm really going to have to make considerations for my 1200m journey.
Of course, pancakes are even more mandatory.

I thought about attending, but after looking up airlines prices and remembering that my passport had expired 2.5 years ago...
Well, may be next year, if everything will be ok.

And, drumroll please....
It was with my deepest regrets that I missed the MOM last year. So, I have done everything in my power to make sure that I will be at this years.
Yes, I've just purchased my plane tickets. I will be there, guaranteed. Tremble in fear, lowly mortals! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
(And if that doesn't scare you off, book your flights now, and you too can have the honour of having a picture taken with me! Oooo! Heheheh.)

River without wishing to increase your horror I must announce I will also be in attendance. Of course you will know me buy my French maids outfit. That is if they have big and tall maids uniform stores in Paris.

Paolo and I have our reservations. We will be staying at the same motel as two years ago (and three years ago and four years ago). The annual wine-and-cheese gathering will be there, followed by dinner at "Ye Olde Hog Trough," as usual on Friday night.
There's still time to make plans for the West Coast MoM, as well. Remember:
June 18-20, near San Francisco;
August 6-8, near Minneapolis.

I can hardly hold my excitement, well at least I am happy about the upcoming MOM event.
I want to hear all about France, and is it true that they surrendered just to be on the safe side?????
Oh the wine and cheese party, the hog trough, the sword fight with the dark overlord. (I hope my heart can take it).
Best of all, the time of year to get back together with old friends and some new ones that I will meet for the first time.

You're kidding right? MrsT is far too enamored with academic types like you. I would be way too worried she would meet you and start to swoon.

She is a friend of Danya's tho so? I dunno?!
