The wine and cheese event that Jesus sponsors every year is wonderful. I wonder what will be the delicious additions to it this year will be?

One of the many highlights of the MOM event each year is the food.
Its more then just the food which we do try to eat a lot of, its the fellowship. Seeing old friends for the first time, people you have talked to on line for years and you finally put a person to the text. Over the years we have meet maybe 100 different members and each year someone new shows up.
I have never met a person I didn't like, never met a stranger.

Keep Rupert away from the cheese.

No Rupert, he will stay home. That will be true for Nelly too.
Now to find a babysitter for the Cat and Dog.

Normally the wine and cheese event just consists of things we pick up at somewhere like Trader Joe's, to put out a nice little spread. Nothing fancy. We'll have to look for something interesting this year.

What's fancy about the Wine & Cheese is always the people who show up. The past few years both the wine and the cheese (and a few other snacks) were from the local Trader Joe's. Since we're moving out of town, the nearest source will be an IGA (where I don't yet know the stock).
For this year, though, I'm planning to ship a case of good California wine ahead - some of it from my daughter's grapes. I doubt that I'll bring California cheese to Wisconsin (though I might consider it to compete with the locals).
Come for the PEOPLE, not the booze! It's always a great time.

Given our crew, there are more than enough nuts to go around --- at least of the crazy kind.

When is the wine & Cheese? May I bring a couple bottles and maybe some cheese and crackers too? Alamos wines from Argentina are a good value. Good quality at an economical price.

The wine & cheese has traditionally been late Friday afternoon, before we head out to dinner at some local spot.
I think I've got the wine covered. I shipped a case of various from California on Monday and they're supposed to arrive by Wednesday. Cheese and crackers would be most welcome, though. The alternative is the local IGA.

I'll bring a favorite garlic cheese spread along with a couple other cheeses and a couple boxes of some favorite crackers. I'll be sure to leave early enough so I'm there in plenty of time. I've never been to a MoM but I can sense a good time coming.
