Can eunuchs be drafted?

The US government reserves the right to draft any man who's in the right age range if they want to go fight a war. Although they haven't actually done this for ~30 years (since the Vietnam war), but they still reserve the right.
I was wondering, can eunuchs be drafted?

I think you would be found 4F or medically unfit for duty.
Now If there were a war and a young man was of draft age I dont think the avrage young man would have himself castrated to avoid service. 4 years vrs Lifetime as eunuch.

Make that 4 years, plus the possibility of being killed in action.

I do not know if being a eunuch is grounds for rejection. When I got my induction physical, you lined up naked in front of the doctor for the first part of it. This included checking to see if you had two balls. The poor guy who had only one was embarassed and ridiculed in front of all but i don't know if he was rejected.

In the USA, they still have to register if between the ages of 18 and 25. The Selective Service says about transsexuals:
http://www.sss.gov/qa.htm#quest35
How does the Military Selective Service Act apply to individuals who have had a sex change?
Individuals who are born female and have a sex change are not required to register. U.S. citizens or immigrants who are born male and have a sex change are still required to register. In the event of a resumption of the draft, males who have had a sex change can file a claim for an exemption from military service if they receive an order to report for examination or induction.
I don't think they wrote anything about non-transsexual men without testicles.
I guess there's no telling for sure whether or not they would exempt us until a draft was actually invoked. Keep in mind the attitude of modern society toward eunuchs and castration. In the event of a draft, I fear the government might not be so willing to exempt us, because I would not count on them to respect us.
The idea of military service would terrify me. If they demanded that I defer transition for service, a sissy like me would never make it through training. I think I would more likely be killed by transphobic comrades than by enemy fire. If not, I would not have the courage to stay on the front line anyway
I did wonder about this after 911. I really worried back in 1990 because I was only 23 at the time of the Gulf War. Many now tell me that I am too old to be worrying about this, but the US government drafted all the way up to age 45 during WW2, so I'm not completely safe yet.
I do respect all of you who served in the military, whatever your country, because that is something I would not have the courage to do.

Thank you. I was in the US NAVY 1963-1973, during the Vietnam War. The training I received as an Electronics/Computer Technician has been my main source of employment all my life.
Now back to the subject. I seem to remember that my father told me that, in WW-II, they did not draft men who were unable to get an erection. I am not sure if he was serious or kidding. But I think you could get exempted precisely because, as a eunuch, you would be very different and subject to harrassment. Also, you might have problems passing the physical, given that many eunuchs tend to be flabby.

On the other hand, it would be rather interesting if she (he?) reported for induction. Can you imagine the commotion it would create when they had to stand nude (as a group) in front of the medical examiner?
I wonder if female inductees are subjected to the same humiliation.

No I think that humilation is reserved for the private, even the guys going in as officers are exempt from that. I remember regestering for the draft on my 18th birthday, I still had a month to go before finishing High School anyway 7 days later I got my draft notice. It was for March so I went into the USAF in Feburary. F. . K the Army, everybody drafted went to basic then to Nam. I figured a safe 4 was better then a real uncertin 2. 1965 - 1968. I still go with my feeling on this, at that time if you said you were gay you were exempt, I think being a eunuch would be the same.

Shit, I couldn't even join the local base of Air Guard here when I was 18, back in my young, stupid, misguided conservative days of yore ... because I was allergic to most everything and had a bad knee and 20/400 uncorrected eyesight ... I had two halfway good balls back then, though ... didn't seem to matter.

I served 20 years in the US military Service. In my induction, all the guys woere boxer shorts! You had the turn your head and cough routine as well with a finger up your ass!
There was one guy admitted to the Navy that had one Testicle,
I have known men who have had testicular cancer and having one testicle left and had a prostitic one replaced. Having both testicles removed I would think would disqual you from military service. During the Gulf War, The Iraq Army often castrated many civilians - We talked to lots of the castrated men. I often feared of being castrated that way in a violent way, in the USMC the Intel units are trained to castrate as part of getting inforamtion from prisioner's. There are other ways to get information,
they even threaten castration in SERE school, which is like a 7 day POW camp they run military people through. They even have a water board where they put water up your nose to get information, that was done in Viet Nam!

It has been a long time (1966) since I went into the service, but if I recall correctly so long as you had one or more, and there were no other noticible lumps, bumps or masses felt through your scrotum, you passed THAT particular test.
One of my fellow "volunteers" at the induction center thought just having one would get him off - he ended up with a serial number just one lower than mine . . .
I was in three years (1969) before I ended up in the Central Highlands.

That seems to make sense; I've heard that if a man has only one testicle, the body will instruct that testicle to generate double the amount of testosterone it normally would, so he would still be hormonally normal.
If he has no testicles though, of course he won't be hormonally normal.

On the contrary, the testicle is the very soul of infantry, and historically, it is the very basis of agriculture and military service.
(Yes, I do know how silly that sounds.)
The presence of Testosterone in the system increases muscle power and bone density by a remarkable amount. It is telling that women, with a T-factor of roughly one-half that of a male, can not match men in professional or Olympic sports. Muscle tone and ligature is also affected, and with it, the likelyhood of dislocation, as was demonstrated repeatedly and quite starkly in the sexual integration of the nation's firefighting forces. A eunuch, I believe, is likely to have a T count similar to a post-menopausal woman. Personally, I would not expect him to participate in basic training, nor hike up a mountain in full gear, nor would I be eager to have him on such a team due to having to slow down, rest more often, and risk exhaustion. Similarly, a broken bone or dislocated joint represents a serious disruption.
Historically, this meant that military service and the majority of farm work was reserved for men until the introduction of the yoke-drawn plough. While this is no longer true, our traditions and gender roles are still based upon certain assumptions. While a eunuch would be suitable for nearly any work outside of the infantry, the induction examinations are still based largely on certain minimum physical attributes, notably stamina and strength. Considering the biochemical similarity between a castrated male and a post-menopausal female, I believe that a medical examiner who is aware of the hormonal changes in a eunuch's body would exempt them from service immediately.

It seems like if we have to look at this shaved dick and balls on this guy that we might as well be looking a naked women.
I mean, after all, it is more interesting to me.
SO, what sayest thou Paolo and Bboy?
Is this nudity? Shall we have it or no?

There might or might not be balls in there ..... it's iffy .....
Oh, and I must remind everyone, on the subject of eunuchs in the military - remember Narses, the Byzantine General? Ferocious fellow, according to my book. Started off as a slave boy, I think and pretty much wound up as CIC for the Emporer.
The Chinese were also fond of having Eunuch Divisions in their armies. Said to be, like Narses, quite ferocious.
Wonder why?
