What Are Implants (Fake Balls) Like?

One member asked about my opinion of my implants. Occurs to me several of you might be interested, so here's the gist:
The silicone prostheses come in 4 sizes, extra-small, small, medium and large. Google "Coloplast Torosa" for info. The doctor gave me the mediums (I think) because he said the scrotum had shrunk over the years. The shells are silicone, filled with saline, so in the event of leakage the saline would be harmlessly absorbed. They are egg shaped, not exhibiting that slightly flat profile of real balls. They are firm, with some slight give when squeezed. I had an inguinal orchiectomy, through two incisions in the abdomen just above the pubic line, so the stumps are way up in my abdomen out of the way. The prosthetics are positioned so they slip past each other and then attached on one end to the scrotum wall to keep them from wandering around or migrating upwards. The attachments are very clever, and they float in the scrotum just like real balls. Oddly, I still get that pleasant feeling when they are fondled, so that sensation comes not from the balls themselves but from the scrotum. I've had no problems and am very happy with them. Note, however, that they were put in place through the inguinal canal, so I had no incisions in the scrotum. I've read complaints that these prosthetics don't "hang" naturally, but that may be a result of insertion through a scrotal incision, with a complication of scar tissue forming. Just a guess. Mine hang quite naturally.
