I'm assuming this is the stopping point for you? After my castration, I kept my scrotum until it was excised along with my penis when I became a full nullo.
Congrats on achieving this goal. You'll be healed up in no time.

I had mine taken off last April. It was rather sore and bruised looking to begin but I got over it in a couple of weeks. The scar is fading and now with a little bit of make up it looks like there was never anything there. You'll find you're a lot better off without it. Justine x

Nicely done. My gf says that castrated guys look a lot neater and a lot hotter with the empty sac removed. If mine hadn't been trimmed off already she would have marched me down to the clinic and had it cut smooth.

Well done, I believe it is the right thing to do. My eunuch husband's scrotum was cut off this morning.

Thanks for the responses. I've not been in much of a mood to post these past few days but feeling better today. My body has not enjoyed the chemicals and drugs introduced as part of the surgery but I'm doing my best to purge them as naturally as possible. Otherwise, aside from some pretty acute swelling things are settling down.

Did you ever ask about having things done under local, spinal, or epidural? Hospitals seem to be getting better about that sort of thing lately. Whenever I go to one, they even ask me if they have my permission to do blood transfusions if I need them to live. Even though the hospital I got my orchiectomy at usually tried to stick patients with two fancy anesthesiologists to milk insurance money, I made sure everyone at the hospital was aware of my needs and my refusal to sign any consent waivers. By the time I got there for surgery, there wasn't even an anesthesiologist on duty to ask me if I changed my mind. No sedatives, no IV, no antibiotics, no pain meds, no extra local shot for post-op pain, no regrets. The surgeon took everything in stride and chatted with me about local restaurants over my gaping scrotum. Told me not to go grocery shopping on the way home, but I did anyway.
You took a great post-op photo, by the way. Once there are some healed versions to compare, it will serve as a great aid for anyone considering this procedure for themselves.

My husbands scrotectomy was completed without any complications. The crotch area is slightly swollen but looks very bruised. He says it feels sore rather than painful. It is more comfortable for him to sit with his legs apart and to walk very carefully. My instructions as his nurse are to keep the crotch area clean and sterile during the next couple of weeks.

Both my orchiectomy and the later scrotal excision were done under IV Propofol, which has a very short half life and is not nearly as difficult to get out of your system as is a general anesthesia. It's also very inexpensive and can be administered by a trained nurse rather than an anesthesiologist. In the USA medicine is a business, so of course patients get milked for every dime they have either directly or through their exorbitantly expensive insurance policies. Now my blog is definitely maintained as a way for folks to better understand the pros, cons and general misinformation about castration and I hope it achieves that goal.

Seanthomas and your best half: Congrats on realizing your goal and having such a wonderfully caring wife to go through it all with you. Your blog is a great work and definitely needed as it really and truly covers many of the mis-conceptions on this topic. Heal fast and enjoy at last.

I haven't seen an empty ball sac in real life, only tgirls with balls and scrotum all gone, i agree it looks so much neater. My scrotum was taken when I was castrated, so i am fully smooth there, and I am glad I didn't have to get it done later.

Seanthomas,
I haven't seen any new additions to your blog for a few week now and wonder how you are doing and if you are satisfied with the results of your surgery. Please let us know. Thanks!

Hi all and thanks for the support! Now I have been remiss in keeping up the blog, as life often gets in the way of "eunuchlife" and things have been rather busy with family, friends, work, etc. Since my last posting related to the opening of my surgical site not much has changed. Healing is very slow but otherwise there is no pain or discomfort. I'm being very mindful of infection and careful keeping things clean and dressed. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with the procedure and despite the setbacks it feels great to be rid of the pesky scrotum. Cosmetically, other than the opening, things look great and when it's all healed I know I'll be pleased having made the choice to go "scrotum-less". I'll try and get an update posted to the blog soon.

As many here know I had my empty scrotum removed nearly nine weeks ago and have had some complications in healing.
Contrary to the recommendations of the nurse, last week I went another route and just left the wound open to air. In aid of that my wife took and old tee shirt, sewed in some elastic and made me a skirt. Hmmm.... she kinda liked the new look.
Anyway, the past week has shown some progress and in order to keep up the "airing" even when going out in public I took advantage of my Scottish heritage and purchased a kilt in the tartan of my ancestors. Now I'm healing without cross dressing and the times we've been out I've had a few wary looks (there are still some rednecks about these parts), a few smiles and even a few compliments. And it's easy to "accessorize" a kilt. I'll need to add a sporran (pouch worn in front) and sgian dobh (little knife worn in the sock) and I'll be all set.
Even though the "ex scrotum" remains swollen and still looks a bit rough it's doing much better and really becoming more comfortable every day. Again, despite the setback in healing I'm glad I made the choice to have the empty sack removed.

Hallo seanthomas, my husband had his scrotum removed at almost the same time that you did. Compared to our pictures his crotch area was a lot more bruised looking than yours but had less swelling. He took 2 weeks off work so that he wouldn't have to move around very much and also took antibiotics for two weeks. We decided to keep the wound open to the fresh air as much as possible so around the house he wore one of my skirts with nothing underneath. I occassionally bathed the area with salt water but otherwise kept it as dry as possible. Healing time was about 5 - 6 weeks, after this he was able to go swimming in the sea and resume bedroom duties. I am a very pleased with the result, a very neat and smooth look. The scar is beginning to fade and can be covered with a bit of make up. In the right light it looks like he never had anything there in the first place which was the outcome I was hoping for.

Hi! I'm going to be castrated and dream to make scrotum reduction. Some people here told me that it's better to do it at 2 times - castration - healing - reduction. Did You do it both? Can You tell some words about it? Thanks!
