3year eunuch birthday TRT question

Hey everyone, so this week was my 3 year eunuch birthday since my surgery with dr arnkoff. I've been so happy since and I couldn't ever imagine life with balls again. Zero regrets but I do have some questions for the long time eunuchs here on TRT?

So good started out of androfort cream T daily but since changed to reandron 1000 injections every 3 months. I've noticed as time has gone on I've been having some side effects and when tested at 12 weeks I had very low T so we have been slowly working back the weeks to find a good balance. Where I live I don't have access to an endocrinologist locally and my GP is not experienced in hormone replacement. He does consult with a endo via Skype but we don't see him much atm.

I guess you could say I've been on a YoYo diet of T! And in the last 6 months I've noticed that I'm slowly not feeling as good as I get I surge off T at the start and low at the end? So my question is, do I feel like this because I'm constantly up and down or does TRT not work as well after some time?

Effects that bother my/not sure if it's just T related?

Brain fog

Short term memory is terrible to the point I ask the same question over and over

Poor judgment

Balance is off

Head aches

Tiredness

I'm due to see my GP Monday for another round of testosterone. I notice that I start to feel off around 6-8 weeks but even at the start of my T cycle I don't fully feel that this goes away?

You describe symptoms I had shortly after I started chemcastration. Over months brainfog disappeared, Short memory got better, also tiredness was less, but not enough for me. It seems like you have these problems mostly because of T level deep fluctuation. That should be avoided I guess. You should stabilize your T. One thing that comes into my mind is to use patches on skin that you use every day and keep your T level quite stable at whatever level you wish to have.

I had severe problems with sleep. I just couldn't get sleep and I that was adding to tiredness. But over months it got little better too. But at the start of chemcastration it was quite hard. How about you?

Yes getting to sleep can be hard but once asleep I sleep quite well. I live in a hot and humid climate and i find the heat unbearable atm too, something that's not worried me before. I'm pretty sure all this is due to constant fluctuations in my T too.

I think it would be very hard to maintain T levels without a big urge up and drop down with injections just every three months. I'm on testosterone cypionate and I do my injections 2x. a week (every 3-4 days) of .5 ml, and it gives me a very high testo level, but also very even and consistent. Sounds like your T levels are very low at the end. Patches or daily gels might be better or pellets that are surgically implanted every 3 mo. and are time-released so T levels stay consistent. I've been nutless for 7 yrs and have been on injections ever since, 2x week, self injecting.

Testosterone Cip is best injected about every 5 days to keep from crashing.

Reandron 1000 (AKA Nebido) is testosterone undecanoate for intramuscular injection (typically in a gluteus). TU in castor oil is very slow release. Bayer have charts and links to papers on their Nebido pages. Bayer suggest 10-14 weekly injections, some need 16-weekly if haemocrit gets too high, and some need as often as 6-weekly. I was on 12-weekly. One specialist told me the injection interval seems to depend on body size, with that larger people seeming to need more frequent injections.

Had the same symptoms with the Doc, and then with the ENdo, shots or Androcur, didn't matter. I got off it and went to low dose E and could not be happier, coming up on one month now. Mood is better, I sleep better, life is hapy.

Happy belated birthday. I'm also a March baby- Had my orchiectomy with Dr. Arnkoff a little over a week ago and recovering well. My only regret is not having done this a lot sooner.

My one year anniversary is April 21st I'm not on testosterone anymore and just started estrogen cream a week ago. I'm happier now than when I was on testosterone. I wish I could have done this 33 years ago.

If you don't have much access to an endocrinologist, you might be better off just using testosterone cypionate for now. My boyfriend is trans, and he takes that once a week. Twice a week would probably be better for stability, but he can't be bothered.

So I went to the dr on Monday and had another T shot. Told the dr what had been going on and how I was feeling and he didn't do a blood test to find out my T levels. I asked him if he was going to get my T level tested and he just said next time!

I can only say from the short term effects of being low-t, which I am at now and declining more. Yes, I have suffered from those symptoms minus the headaches and tiredness; maybe because I am drinking lots of water all the time now. I feel like I am undergoing a personality shift once more like I did after the surgery and low-t state then. Though, coming off TRT and going through this change is much more gradual and fluctuating, which I guess is making it easier to change.
