Uncle Flo's daughter reports that he is currently in the hospital but may be sent home within days. He first was hospitalized about a month ago for shortness of breath and low blood oxygen. It was initially thought to be Covid-19, but the tests were negative. He was sent home, only to return to the hospital a week ago with the same symptoms. X-rays showed fluid accumulation in his lungs and some spots on his lungs and liver. The fluid was drained, but further tests show cancer that has spread widely to bones and internal organs. The doctors are trying to stabilize him so that he can be sent home for "end of life" care. His doctor reported that he "should" make it to the end of the year.
He was named "Uncle Flo" (after Florence Nightingale) by early members of the Eunuch Archive for his continual care for all of those around him. He is one of the most caring persons I have ever known. Please think good thoughts toward the Twin Cities as Uncle Flo struggles through his illness.

He has been in my thoughts since he started feeling poorly. Hope the remainder can be as painless as possible, without being so out of it, he cannot recognize his family and friends.

Devastating.
My prayers are in the mix, too.
So if you're not calling Jesus (C), not Jesus (A), then get on the horn to whatever deity you prefer.
If you don't have one, well, get your ass out there and start looking for an Infinity Stone, I guess!:-\

Another prayer for Uncle Flo. Cancer it a bitch but there are a lot of new aggressive treatments. Hoping for the best but understand the seriousness of this. Hang in there.
