When I was pretty young, about 16 years old I suffered from some circulation related issues potentially caused by testicular torsion down there, it resulted in severe damage to my testicles, causing me to lose my right testicle (testicle was detached but I still retain the epididimus, so it looks like I have a small something on the right side). my left testicle feels like its continuously gotten smaller and harder. I still get erections and am horny all the time.
It was extremely hard to accept initially, I felt my life was over for a long time. It definitely damaged my self esteem. I'm finally working up the courage to do something - I'm probably not going to have kids, but want a health amount of testosterone and want a full looking sac for dam sake.
Am starting by getting to a doctor and getting my T-levels checked, despite everything initially when I was 16 they never checked my t levels, just did a follow up ultrasound.
Anyone have prosthetic testicles? And can you give details about how they compare with the real thing?
Would it make sense to: 1. get HRT, 2. get fixed profesionally + fake balls inserted?

Re: What to do about very damaged balls
Some of those questions can only really be answered by your doctors who can check your T levels, and do all the assorted scans and diagnostics that can give them a lot more information than what we have...
They may even be able to figure out if there is any sperm production going on and do recovery techniques if it is (and you are interested...)
Prosthetics are very much a personal choice, though most here don't use them (and some did but had them removed) and even get rid of the scrotum in order to go for the "smooth look".
From what I've heard, there are two primary types of prosthetics. The ones more common in the US are a fairly hard plastic and many say they feel fake and don't look all that convincing. The Europeans have some that are made from silicone in a way similar to breast implants, and supposedly those have a bit more convincing look and feel...

Re: What to do about very damaged balls
I've read some studies that the satisfaction rate for prosthetic balls is not very high, some as low as 40%, others saying something like 50-60%. Based on what I've seen in various papers and from doctors' websites, it seems like the main issues are a lot of doctors recommend prosthetics that are too small and use a brand that is too hard of a material. I've also read that when they show you the prosthetic ahead of time so you have an idea of what it will be like, that it seems bigger and softer. And then after the surgery it ends up feeling smaller and harder than you thought it would. According to google 3-5cm is average, but when I had to get an ultrasound a couple years ago it said mine were 6cm and they don't look big at all, they look extremely average (compared to other guys in the gym locker room, there's plenty of guys with bigger balls than me). So basically, if you're going to do it I would say get the biggest softest ones possible.
