• Reasons to get voluntarily castrated

There are many reasons that motivate a man to desire to become a eunuch. Generally, it's a combination of reasons, weighted uniquely by each individual, that leads one to take such drastic action.

Become Non-Sexual (the most common reason) - Castration significantly reduces libido. So now you can mute the temptation to look at porn, shut down the urge to masturbate, and finally stop obsessing about sex every two minutes.

Physical Appearance - Penis size is nicely reduced, unsightly testicles disappear, and with nullo surgery your genital region can become beautifully smooth.

Psychological Benefits - Align with your gender identity to finally be yourself. Feel free. Enjoy eunuch calm. Have fun keeping a massive secret that would blow people's minds if they only knew.

Health-Related Benefits - No more raging testosterone fueling risky behaviors, lower prostate cancer risk, stop hair loss, lower risk for STI, increased longevity.

Libido Matching: With a testosterone supplement, you can dial in the exact amount of T you need to match the sexual appetite of your partner. Have as much or as little sex as you both want.

One that has come up several times on EAV2 was "libido matching" usually was a heterosexual couple where she was no longer interested in / able to enjoy penetrative sex. (Reportedly common after menopause, or hysterectomy) He still did, and this caused tension in the relationship, but by getting fixed he can shift focus to other bedroom activities and not have to worry about penetrating or not... At least some report that this has IMPROVED their sex lives....

Similarly (and is not inconsistent w/ some historical eunuch stories) it is a common concern that women tend to take longer to get aroused than men do, and this leads to all the jokes and complaints about him reaching orgasm and going to sleep just as she is getting going... Once there is no longer a desire to make babies, getting himself fixed can lead to having more compatible arousal times... (At least in Roman Empire times there are reports of rich women getting and neutering attractive slaves as 'sex toys' because they were harder to get going, but then lasted longer... Not to mention the lack of embarrassing pregnancies from the fun and games...)

Here is one I have not seen mentioned and thought of as a result of a post else where on the forum. As a preventative against certain paraphilias, ie; Rape, and pedophilia. Has anyone done that? If so much respect.

My feelings exactly. I feel it important that one should identify himself as a Eunuch for just the aforementioned reasons. I have always used the Prefix "Eu." (pronounced Eunuch) rather than "Mr." and rarely has it ever been questioned. Example Eu. John BJ ******.
My partner and I use "Eu and Mz John BJ ******".
If you are a Eunuch-Male, be open about it.

Another common reason is gender transition. For those transitioning MTF, an orchie has the all-important effect of eliminating the T factories and the need to take anti-androgens/T blockers.

There was a paper that was posted about that shortly before EAv2 shut down - It was a study of MtF transwomen and seemed to find that there were considerable benefits to having an orchie early on in transition. It reduced the need for anti-androgens and seemed to make the feminizing hormone regimen work better in terms of breast growth, etc. It also reported that the patients got significant mental health benefits from getting rid of some of the bits they disliked and having visible signs of progress in the process...

As I mentioned in the other thread, there were posters on the EAv2 that said they did it as a preventative against certain paraphilias, ie; Rape, and pedophilia. I think it is a legitimate reason to consider and possibly get fixed, especially if they don't find any other approaches to work for them...
