PROFILE PICTURES
Show up only in your profile (not in each post like Avatars) Should be a picture of you please, no junk. Junk will be deleted. If you are concerned about posting your pic, please read below under "Avatars" for suggestions It's perfectly OK to upload the same pic as both your Avatar and your profile picture User CP Avatar Profile Picture You can link to a remotely hosted picture or upload a picture from your computerAVATARS (info FYI): Avatars are the small pics that display under your name next to your posts You can upload a custom avatar through your User CP/Avatars panel As many people are hesitant to put a current picture up (in case they are recognized - although what Grandma is doing surfing the Archive I will never understand) I recommend scanning and using a picture of youself as a youngster or teen because: It's still a picture of YOU so it's personal It's still fairly unrecognizable (unless your mom is here) It's a way to put a "face" with the name Just Do It

Colin's great

...
Hehe ... not a criticism of anyone avatar, just a suggestion for newer members and food for thought for everyone else.
I will admit there a certain ... neatness ... about seeing a picture ... whether current or not ... of the actual PERSON. Kind of neat!

I agree with you Bboy. When you have a picture of yourself, it brings a more personal feeling to the message board. I like seeing who's on the other end of that message.

Hey bboy -- I'm old enough to be your Grandma -- if I weren't a man! So if someone's grandma is surfing EA, it is no surprise and she won't be offended, right? I would venture to guess that the vast majority of people surfing the sex-related sites are retired gentlemen (hak) like me. When ou get to a certain age you lose yhour inhjibitions, cultural tabus and finally just enjoy the cruise. usually because it is interesting to see the varieties of human sexuality. And if that is a problem with the uptight who think sex is somehow not permissable fro human adults then screw tehm.
But Salami is right about the idea that there are wackos who feel they have some resposibility to wipe out sexual discussion in the name of morality or whatever (oh, no, I'm ranting again! Stop me!).
At my age, salami, I am ashamed to ask -- but who is Barney Fife?
One last add, the way this web site is conducted I don't ever find much that I feel is pornographic. it is usually people seeking information about the subject of castration. Since lawmakers in various states have no problem with castrating offenders, then how is it porn? The thing that makes EA so stimulating is the high level of intellect one finds here (let's hear it for all of us).

All I can say is that I am not afraid to use my picture here.
If we can't even use a picture of ourselves as we see fit then we are ALL in real trouble!

Thanks, Salami,
I never watched Mayberry, but grew up in a small town where the police force (or force-less) spent half their time boasting about hwo tough they were and the other half either committing crimes or finding ways not to arrest anyone. Probably because they couldn't read or write well enough to file a report.
Got that off my chest.
I never realized certain sites were available on public computers. Most cyber cafe's have adult filters don't they?I ahve a friend in England who can hardly access any sies if they have the wrong words in them.
I would think being able to keep the avatars from showing would help enough. But I think on a site like this we should create first and worry about the occasional problem later.
And Elmo is a handsome fellow.

I originally had a nekkid full frontal of myself as my avatar, but after another discussion was generally negative about having anything that wasn't suitable for a 12 year old to view at the public library (or some such) I changed it to a simple painting with Japanese text of my name and eunuch (en'jin).
I suppose I could pop a pic of me anywhere from 9 months old to 56 years old up as my avatar, but I really wonder which, if any, would represent "me" to the archive at large.
Guess I'll have to think about that for a bit, prepare several different avatar images, and post 'en so y'all can choose. I simply don't care right now.

if they recognise you here then i would question wht they are here ion the first place unless they share your interest in some way so be yoiurself and life will go on wether they accept it or not life has taught me to live for yourself and not to conform to what others think.
Hope my new avatar doesnt cause to many people to pass out with fright at seeing me ROFL

I also love seeing who communicating with. Often makes me feel more comfortable to speak with strangers although I am sure taht many post pics of people other then themselves as I have been shown many articles where people have used my pics claiming to be me.
Hope to hear from anyone that wishes to remain masculine and becoming a nullo. Not really into the SRS thing as can't relate to not likeing being masculine.
