Discussion regarding prostate removal?

Back again with my roundabout questions. As stated in my previous posts. I'm not entirely keen on the idea of undertaking major genital modification. Besides my hopeless search for some kind of "subtle" induced impotence procedure, I find myself once again reading on the countless solutions for erectile dysfunction and the list of causes. Then It occurred to me. Prostate cancer and subsequently prostate removal surgery is usually a cause for ED. I understand it's anything but subtle in the means of invasive surgery, but considering the prostate is entirely inside the body, who's going to know its not there anymore. Has anyone here had the procedure done? Furthermore, has anyone had it voluntarily, or as part of another form of nullification? I highly doubt many doctors would remove a healthy prostate, especially for someone so young in my age bracket. Once again, I recognize that it is a complex surgery to have done. I have also read that recovery is lengthy and incontinence is common. My interest resides in the side effects; possibility of erectile dysfunction, reduced libido, changes or inability to orgasm.
