hi everyone
I will most likely have my scrotum and penis removed in the near future for medical reasons :( so I decided to look into support communities.
I'm a gay man who likes to swim and play water polo so I'm kinda dreading wearing swim briefs and being in locker rooms with a flat crotch so i'm hoping to gain more confidence and improve my self image here. I would appreciate advice as well as suggestions for other nullo/eunuch forums and chats and support groups. pleased to meet you all :)

Welcome to the forum, and hope everything goes well with the upcoming surgery. I do think you have made a good choice to look for supportive groups like this one, as there is some research that shows people faced with undesired but necessary surgery do better to "own it" rather than hiding it...

You will definitely find a lot of supportive people here, with a lot of different experiences and levels of surgery, from none to full nullo, so I'm sure you can get lots of useful tips and advice, feel free to ask questions about stuff, we will do our best to answer...

FWIW, while a lot of our members try not to let their state be known, those that do seem to find it is not a big deal, and they get a lot less reaction of any sort than they were fearing... After all we have mostly been trained from an early age that it is rude to 'look' at the other guys equipment, (or at least we should pretend not to. ) The comments they do get tend to be more curiosity rather than 'put-down' and the answers they give range from explanations to 'I'd rather not discuss'

I notice your profile says you're gay - while this may cause you to change your style, a lot of our gay members have said that there is a definite part of the gay community that finds them 'hot' so nullification doesn't have to mean the end of your love life, unless of course you want it to...

(As a straight guy who has never really been into the sort of activities that involve locker rooms, etc. and more so since my SCI, I don't have personal experience, but this is what I've seen posted)

Good luck with the surgery to come. Here I saw some guys who said that it is a shock to see yourself in a "altered" state but at the end they found it ok, they adapt rapidly. It is true for many things in life; acceptance is one of the various ways to happiness. Wish you the best on your journey.
