Castration as birth-control

I was browsing through the shelves in a public library, during the late 1950s or early 1960s, in search of sex information (I was an inquisitive teenager).

I came across a book on birth-control, avidly reading about stuff I had no chance of needing, when I read of vasectomy and castration as methods for 'the husband'. It said that as the husband would most likely be over 40, castration would not be problem, as most couples no longer wanted sex at that age!

I was amazed even then at this idea, though when I went back for another look, the book had disappeared. I never did find it again.

Was castration commonly advocated as a suitable method for couples in that era?

What A-1 is trying to say is that he's an old fart and hasn't gotten any since Nixon was in office...

He's so old and inactive that Deep Throat is just a distant memory from his youth!

I don't know if "inactive" adequately describes it. 😄 😄 😄 😄

Let us just say that I am not as good as I once was...but...I am as good ONCE as I EVER was...

Of course, my once depends on moods and availability, if you get my drift...

I'll overlook the fact that we seem to have deviated from the topic, but, I can remember that as a small boy, not as hairy as now, that when one asked an adult how old they were, the answer would be "Twenty-one and a bit" or something like that!

About the same age, my Granny used to take me for a "Pee-pee", as she called it, and she used to hold my little willy. Nice!

PS What about castration as birth control!

In the late 70's one of my coworkers had a vascectomy - - he kinda made a big deal about it. A decade or so later in about 89 or 1990 - I Ihad the opportunity to see him in the shower room at the gym and I Was shocked... He's was red head with pale skin and a tiny weenie (like my little finger) and small tight balls.

But he did have a vascectomy for birth control - an uncommon occurence in this part of the world.

To Jema:

It's easy to be in one's early twenties, you just put 31 months in every year!

To Dave:

What part of the world are you in? I had a vasectomy in 1988. It's an excellent form of birth control, firstly there is no sperm in your semen, and secondly, women tell me that there is no point in having intercourse as I can't make them pregnant, and since the advent of HIV, we have to wear condoms anyway.

Regarding changes over the years, I haven't noticed any reduction in size of either cock or balls.

My penis is smaller now when at rest, but that's because of hypertension medication preventing the nocturnal erections which exercise the penis and keep it in good shape. I did read somewhere that about half the vasectomised men eventually get a reduced testosterone level, but my nurse said that she hadn't heard of that. Mine is OK so far.

I did take some photos before and after, the swelling of the scrotum is amazing but it goes down after a week or two.

If anyone wants to see them, I'll try to find them though my paper pictures are in the same disorder as the digital ones on my disks!

To moderator: Why can't we have a picture gallery?

I didn't mean to say it wasn't. My reminiscence was that the fellow made such a big deal and had such a teenie weenie.

- and that it wasn't common around here (western Pennsylvania)

I know guys I served with in the US Navy that could not wait to have two kids and get a vasectomy so they could screw girls away from home and not have to worry much about birth control.

I had a open-ended vasectomy 5 years ago, and it was a very good experience...now just waiting for my castration to happen to have that calm effect in my progressive years.

Boy, I'd LOVE to be vasectomized by a female urologist. It would be thrilling to have her probe my scrotom for the vas, and then use the clamp...

I'm just getting aroused thinking about it!

Probably most of them are, I am married to an exception! Perhaps their age makes a difference?

Planned Parenthood Organization preformed a vasectomy on me in 1971 after having two children. I couldn't afford more than two children, and I was in the Navy like mentioned before, I didn't want to worry about having children and not knowing about it. Plus I didn't want to be sued for child support while having an affair. I was very selfish back in those days.

The women I knew were happy about my vasectomy because we could have sex without a condom. This of course was before aides and other nasty sexually transmitted diseases were heard of, or at least I didn't know of anything back then that I could get that couldn't be cured with an injection of pennicillen.
