Not the result of a penectomy, believe it or not. Some guys are born this way. I can't make out much of the accompanying Dutch text, but it seems to begin by saying that 0.6 per cent of all the world's men are born with this.

I ran that page through a translator with the following results:
http://www.worldlingo.com/wl/Document1_ ... roximately 0.6% of the boys becomes born with micropenis.
* At new-born it concerns penis (
http://www.sexwoordenboek.nl/penis.html) that smaller is than 1.9 cm and at an adult man for a penis smaller than 3.8 cm. This has been measured to the upper part of the slack penis, as from the schaambeen to the topje, whereas these are taken off to maximum length.
* Sometimes there is a clearly assignable cause, but that is not always the case. It can concern for example a chromosome deviation, for ongevoeligheid of the body for male hormones (
http://www.sexwoordenboek.nl/hormonen.html), for a lack to testosteron or a deviation to the central nerve scheme. As parents there asked at its is possible administering testosteron (
http://www.sexwoordenboek.nl/testosteron.html) the increase to promote.
* If you think micropenis to have go then to your general practitioner. Leave specialist examines what is the cause.
* Just like others boys with micropenis touch simply excited (
http://www.sexwoordenboek.nl/opwinding.html), they get erecties (
http://www.sexwoordenboek.nl/erectie.html) and to come them ready (
http://www.sexwoordenboek.nl/orgasme.html). annoying is that they are frequently teased, for example at common to take a shower. They are possible, as a result, effort get their body to accept as it is. But is happy that often temporary. From research becomes clear that most of the men with micropenis well feel themselves concerning themselves and satisfactory (sexual) relations have.

As the article says and most of us know intelectually in any event, penis size varies from almost nil up into the foot range. A fairly small proportion of males are at either extreme. Most are average or within a narrow range + or - of average. My b/f sometimes characterizes himself as having a micro penis, although in truth it's just small and is much larger than the 3.8 cm specified in the article. It's size though has had a negative impact on his physical self-image, and he's shyer about being nude in front of others than almost anyone I know. However, we've worked things out such that both of us are nude at home much of the time. He's also as sexual as anyone with a larger organ. While I'm self-conscious that my own cock is only in the average range, I've never been shy about being nude in public.
What a lot o' people don't understand is that a part of the condition is moderated by blood serum free testosterone levels. Those with lesser concentrations are more likely to have smaller penises. My own cock grew by 1" (5.5">6.5") in the 2 years following my beginning the ingestion of testosterone (initially injections, now AndroGel), and the pharmacist's print-out of side effects that comes with a testosterone prescription indicates that penile growth is a potential side effect. My bf's has also grown (he has 2 nice-sized balls - just a low testosterone level). Of course, I don't care that my bf's organ's small, and he doesn't care that I'm ballless.

N O Johnson,
Thanks for the post, interesting. I'm wondering if the subject on the website photo was born without testicles, because I think they are suggesting he needs testosterone.
I always thought that I had a micro penis. I am circumcised, and when facid or relaxed, you can only see the Head of my penis, erect it grows to about 4". I never had any complaints form sexual partners, and noone has ever made fun of me and I vist Nudist parks all over the U.S. and Canada.
Thank you Christina for the translation, my German is a little rusty. Christina, did you mean that you found a translator at the website, or you know of a website that does that? Or is there some software translaters. Please let me know.

Bull,
There are several free web sites that have translators. Some better than others, but it depends on what you are willing to give up. For instance some will not translate all languages. The one I used for this web page was called Wordlingo,
http://www.worldlingo.com/. There are also others from Google, Yahoo and Babel Fish, all are free.
Sometimes in the chat room we get a non-english speaking person. I have used the google translator to talk to these people. It's fairly easy to translate common languages with google, but it can make for a longer conversation. Google translator can be found at:
http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en.
Be advised that these translators may not translate all words as you can see from post I made of the original web site.

Does testosterone directly make the penis grow or does it cause more frequent erections which make the penis grow?

The standard definition that I have found for "micropenis" is one that is less than three inches long when fully erect. That seems to be about the minimum length required for reqular heterosexual intercourse, and it is the medical profession that provides the definitions.
There are a number of XY males born with penises of a size such that the presiding physician will decide that, full grown, they will have a micropenis. For one bleak period of medical history, it was not uncommon for such boys to be castrated soon after birth and have their gender reassigned as "female". It didn't seem to work!
The most famous case is of a boy whose penis was destroyed in a botched circumcision. He was raised as a girl, but had continual problems with gender identity. Only when s/he was much older was the truth revealed. HIS story is told in the excellent autobiograpy As Nature Made Him : The Boy Who Was Raised as a Girl by John Colapinto.
Highly recommended!

I worked at a group home for mentally retarded adults until last year(and before anyone comes after me for using the "R" word, that's what my state and the agencies who support the group homes call it; other states have different lingo). We had a resident named "Tim" (not his real name) who was mentally retarded, had cerebral palsy, was hearing impaired, and had "sexual behaviors", which is why his family placed him with us. He was on a walker for many years after surgery on his legs, and was thus unable to get into and out of the bath alone, but he could bathe without assistance once his was in the tub. The first time I helped him into the bath, I was SHOCKED that he had a micropenis. It's a very startling thing to see if you're not expecting it. He and another male resident had a long-running, consensual sexual relationship. I often wondered if testosterone issues caused his sexual acting-out before he came to us, or if they contributed to the fits of rage he was given to years before. He had once hit a two-year-old niece due to jealousy, and broke her mother's thumb when she tried to intervene. He was on estrogen for several years at on time, and I wonder if it was used as some form of chemical castration.

Excellent question...and I think one that's not easy to answer. I'll give it a try. The penis is an organ without bone structure that's hard to define...and even measure accurately. We typically speak of two sizes: flaccid and hard (erect or aroused). Flaccid should be when it's most relaxed. The problem with measuring flaccid size is that it can still vary. A cock that's 20% aroused still looks pretty flaccid. Most guys give erect size, measured on the top from the penile base, when asked how large their penis is?
In any event, maybe you're asking about flaccid and aroused sizes. I can only say for myself that my flaccid size seems to have grown about 1/2" and the erect size by about 1" since I began testosterone ingestion from external sources a little over 5 years ago. The testosterone seems to have made no difference in girth.

Supposedly, hypnotic suggestion can cause the male organ to grow in some persons. I guess everybody has seen the spam ads about growth formulas, and some websites claim that yohimbe, an extract from a bark found in Africa, can also cause the organ to grow, or at least to become larger when erect.
Most women, according to what you read, are more concerned with firmness than with size, as long as the organ is at least five inches long or so, and proportionately thick.
