After careful review I have asked IEunuch to step up to the plate and become my number 2.

I have known IEunuch for a very long time and trust him well. In the event something ever happens to me, I have faith The Archive will be in good hands.

His current assignment as chat room lieutenant is something he may continue with depending on his wishes but as as number 2 his first assignment is to get the feel of The Archive and the way it runs (kick the tires and such). After that it will be to re-write the story submission scripts. Yes you read correctly, the new story submission scripts - Yay!

Let us all congratulate him and wish him the best, but give him some room for now as he is just kicking the tires and slamming the doors.

Jesus has it about right...IE is now in charge of the Great Zoo and I hear IE will get the same high salary that Talula once earned...2 grains of salarium per month...Hell, he could get rich inside a millennium.

I've always been IE's friend and follower when he was a "mere" Administraive Ops and I fully support him as head of the Eunuch Archive.

One advantage IE probably hasn't thought of yet, IE will receive the monthly blessing by the Red Flaming Nun. This is a good thing...r-i-g-h-t?

Sorry this is a little delayed, but this whole thing came as a complete shock, and it's taken a couple days to sink in. Still working on that, actually. I just hope I can do justice to the position. I'm going to do my best not to let everyone down.

Now I know eveyrone wants the story submission pages back up as soon as possible, but sadly all I can say is that it will take me a bit to get to that point. I know very little about how the site was put together, or even the software used. It's going to take me a bit to soak up enough PHP and SQL to get things going again. But I promise you, I am working on it as hard as I can. Today's task was getting a couple good PHP books, and installing a web server with both PHP and SQL installed so that I can work on things.

IEunuch if you need help with PHP or SQL I can help you. Ive done my fair amount of coding in PHP.

I thank you for the offer, and may be calling upon you (and others) in the near future. The real challenge is though, that I don't wish to simply rely on outside help for site repairs. I need to be able to know enough to do the repairs myself.

i have your linux box ready for delivery so the board can be resusitated in an isolated system (to prevent any possibility of cross contamination into your current computers). i still plan on delivering it sometime in the early afternoon of this comming sunday (7-23) to as near as canada as i can safely drive (depending on my level of sleep). (you can figure that there is probably a free lunch for you as well)

the good news is that Sarah actually wants to come with. that could take some of the resent pressure off of me.
