I think the problem here is the question of who YOU are. You've just joined the Archive. You'd only made a single previous (and very brief) post. Then you ask members to go off site to vote for someone whose name they are unlikely to recognize.

The same request made by a long-time regular would receive a positive response.

Don't worry about the negatives, just stick around and become one of the "regulars." Your profile indicates that you do belong here. We just need to know more about you.

If I get ONE more 'reported post' email on THIS thread, as I said yesterday, heads will roll. I will IP ban the next server that a report comes from on this thread. It's closed; only Admins can post to it. And NO ONE needs to report it or try and comment on it anymore.

It's also about to get some posts pruned.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. That's not the issue.

Also, the Admins run this site based on feedback we have had over the years. Legally, we do not want minors (age <18) posting to the site, but there is little we can do to prevent them from reading it. In fact, I have run into a few minors through this site that NEEDED to be here reading it. Trying to find a way to bar anyone under a certain age from viewing the site is the responsibility of parents with tools readily available to block sites. It is not OUR job.

It is also not our responsibility, nor do I feel that we are entitled to deal with such:

There is already a thread you can find with the SEARCH function where we have discussed the proposed minimum age for castration. In fact, I find the above comment in the 'reported post' email to be absolutely ridiculous. As I said, we have and do listen to opinions - when they make sense.
