You mean infibulation? Lots of African girls have it done involuntarily when they hit puberty. It usually involves cutting the labia, so that it heals closed.

A very few people have it done voluntarily, usually as part of S&M games.

Some women use labia rings to do something quite similar called a chastity piercing.

I've done some research on this. (No surprises there.) And as far as I have found, there is no commonly used way to permanently stitch up or seal a vaginal canal. There is recourse to vaginectomy, or colpectomy, to excise all or part of the vagina. This the the route taken by some (not the majority) of transmen, as well as a last-ditch treatment for some cancers. I've met a few women who had removed all or part of their vulvas, but I have yet to meet one who opted to lose the vaginal canal as well.

There are the FtM surgeries, in some the whole vagina is removed and the opening closed. The clitoris is left.

This reply is a bit late...but my vagina and associated parts have been removed. I have been closed with only a pee hole. I am flat in the front with a small scar where you know what was.

There are female to male transsexuals that not only have full hysterectomies, but also have the vagina lining removed as well as the inner labia and have the outer labia all sew shut. Some have testicle implants put in the labia majora and the clit becomes enlarged with testosterone. Some surgeons even reroute the urethra through the clitoris so these men can pee standing up, which is very important to many FtM Transsexuals.

Part of the deal was cosmetic. I think that having a smooth groin is so much more attractive than the standard equipment.

More importantly, I do feel that I want to restrict my physical pleasure...or at least control it. I can still orgasm and I still have two holes for penetration (oral, anal) as well as breasts and nipples. I get as much pleasure out of giving pleasure to other people and lack of equipment enables me to focus on that alone.

Yeah, I think a smooth groin is also attractive. My own groin is pretty messed up. Still have a little ugly scrotal skin that I'd like to have removed and my penis, well since my castration it's shrunk and I never pee with it anymore, I have a reroute fortunately. I got the reroute in preparation for my penis removal. I just can't do it, physically remove it myself. I've tried, but maybe someday I'll be able to get past my fear. Today I really had a heightened desire to remove it and the desire still hasn't gone away completely, but it's lessening each hour. My clit was removed by a real doctor and is totally gone. My mom saved it and I still have it in a jar...a beautiful Y shaped thing. I don't miss it.
