Re: Are eunuchs still males
Honestly, since gender is a spectrum, I think it is up to the individual to decide whether or not they are still a man once they become a eunuch. I now consider myself less of a man than I used to be and more nonbinary. There are plenty of enbies that are becoming more vocal, and many states are now ...

Re: Progesterone as a low level HRT against osteoporosis.
I did try progesterone for a while. I did not find it effective in combating the numerous issues related to low T. Also, it made me extra moody. Elevated progesterone levels in women are a significant part of PMS, and progesterone made me feel just like how PMS is described.

Re: Extreme Depression
Are you taking anything for the depression? If not, perhaps that would be a better place to start. I never really dealt with depression until I was castrated but found that I needed both hormones and antidepressants to deal with it.

Re: Non-Pejorative
How would you refer to them as a group -- think of a word like "transgender" which doesn't fit eunuchs and its polar opposite is "cisgender"
I've seen eunuch grouped under the transgender umbrella, so it could be used for a group with varying intentions. Neutrois might be applicable if we are ...
Re: New Here
Castration will probably eliminate most if not all of your masturbation urges, but then you very well may find that you need some hormones to deal with the many negative side effects of castration (depression, lethargy, hot flashes, brain fog, etc). And going on hormones (especially testosterone) is ...

Re: Regrets about being castrated?
If you have some urges to castrate yourself to that extent wouldn't it be a good idea to have a consultation with the doctor in America who does an informed consent only castration? His prices are really low considering he has many years of medical knowledge and experience along with a team in a ...

Re: Regrets about being castrated?
One point I'd like to make about regrets. I state in my bio that I've been trying to castrate myself since I was 13. While that is completely true, I should also point out that that I had trying NOT to castrate myself for just as long. Every few years though I would get strong urges, come to EA, try ...

Re: Castration Effects on the Body/Mind
Started reading this earlier in the week and am about half finished. Very easy to read and provides a great overview of the issues encountered with androgen deprivation. I especially appreciate the focus on how it impacts relationships. Definitely worth reading for those considering castration or ...

I had a neighbor who committed suicide in the middle of the summer. It wasn't discovered for over a week. It smelled exactly the same as a dead rotting animal, not sweet at all.

Re: Time flys, 5 years and a couple months post castration
Welcome aeunuch2. Not sure that I can offer any worthwhile advice as I'm just starting TRT myself, but you may want to investigate other forms of T if you are concerned about transfer. I'm on Androderm (patch) right now and it seems to be helping me (I had similar intimacy issues along with ...

I can only speak for myself, but yes I've found that my highs are higher and lows are lower. Generally more emotional, some days giddy and other days depressed. Just went back on HRT cause I couldn't take the roller coaster ride.

Re: Regrets about being castrated?
I would say that my regrets are very closely linked to the low T depression that I've been dealing with off and on since my orchi in October. I've been trying to avoid going on TRT, but am realizing that my very will to live may require me to go on TRT. When you are falling down into a bottomless ...

I invite all who might be interested into a, and we will need to set it up, private blog posting discussion to lay out what we want our expectations, qualifications, etc. then bring it back to the main Archive and let people weigh in.

Re: Regrets about being castrated?
I am only speaking for myself but life without T was horrendous, no energy and I mean none, putting on weight, depression that I never had before which was frightening in its bleakness,
That's close to how I've been for the last week. I blame it as much on my insomnia as the low T though. I ...

Re: Regrets about being castrated?
Not sure how many responses you'll get from this as it seems like most of the people who participate on this site have a pretty eunuch positive attitude. I'll take a stab at it though as I'm already on the record as saying I wish I hadn't totally fried my balls with CaCl and wished I had been able ...

This isn't really an answer to your question, but I've often wondered if I had thought of my compulsive need to castrate myself in more general terms as an addiction to self harm that I may have had different results. I was cutting and burning, which are the two most common forms of self injury ...

I personally didn't realize this was a problem. Is there a thread that describes what type of help is needed and how one can go about helping out?
