Re: Hello
So you're currently recovering from surgery, Thraddash.
I'm glad you seem to be doing well. I sincerely hope everything continues that way for you, and that you return home healthily established in the condition that you have selected for yourself.

Re: Desperate to be a Eunuch
I'm a Brit, not a Frog. And it's been half a century since I visited Paris. So I can't tell you where to go or what to see there.
But I did have a French wife for about 20 years. She was from Vendee (the west of France, where they fought against the Revolution) and I did get sort of indoctrinated ...

Re: Gender, Music, Emotions
I discovered Mike Oldfield, and Tubular Bells and all his other works, rather later than the hippies did. But I discovered him at more or less the same time as I was introduced to Mozart, Vivaldi , Haydn etc.

Re: Is the Eunuch Archive Dead?
You all seem to be missing the point.
Surely the important thing is that the Eunuch Archive is a meeting place, for any and every person who has a connection with, or an interest in, the eunuch state?
Sometimes we talk about balls and penises. Sometimes we talk about Mr Obama, or bankers, or ...

Thanks Paolo.
With your help and that of Free Download Manager I think I might be getting somewhere now!
And thank you Prudence for your comments.

Sigh!
Thanks for posting your messages about Linux, replying to mine.
I clicked on the Debian link (my preferred option). But it was utterly, totally baffling. Everything seemed to be saying yes, you're a computer geek and you know about bit torrents and hdml things and stuff, so we won't explain ...

Re: New Computer
I thought Linux was a free-to-all platform, but recently I acquired a laptop that had sort of gone to sleep on Windows XP and I decided I'd look for a Linux alternative and get the computer up and running again.
But every seemingly-worthwhile Linux website was asking me for money.

Re: Becoming the person that I am
Thanks, Greylayer, for a well-written, well-observed and humorous posting! You're well up there with the Garrison Keillors and the Terry Pratchetts of this world! Have you posted any fiction in the Archive?
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that things went OK for you in the eunuch factory, and I hope it ...

Re: Anyone heard from Charlenebrown?
Yes thanks for that Haze.
Charlene's EA blog seems to have been hit by the same bug that zapped the whole Archive a few weeks back. I can't access it now. Does Charlene have to sort it out herself, or will all be well in due course?

Anyone heard from Charlenebrown?
Haven't heard from her here for quite a while. She was posting an intelligent blog detailing her progress, with pics, but there doesn't seem to have been anything from her since mid-October last year.
She might have had personal issues that took up her time, but her last blog entry (20 Oct 09) didn ...

Unfortunately, no. It's accessible without an account.
Is this one of those things you can elect to have instead of a bbrrrring bbrrrring noise on your telephone?
If so, how do I download it to my rectangular, black, bakelite, finger-in-hole-to-dial machine?

Re: Introducing myself from the UK
Just thought I'd mention that I'm in (but not from) Wales.
Wales, despite everything that Plaid Cymru might desire or plot for, is still part of Great Britain.
It is the lumpy, wet part of Great Britain. On the west side, sort of south east from Ireland, where it gathers up all the ghastly rain ...

I do cross-stitching, on the days when I'm not shooting arrows at targets or riding out on my Suzuki AN400. My little gold-plated needles go through evenweave fabric, not through my scrotum! Would be pretty painful if I decided to try cross-stitching my goolies - the needles are the blunt-end type!

Thank you for your no doubt well-intentioned thoughts!

I seldom actually log in unless there's something I want to say. So Andrew, who knows? Perhaps a good proportion of those 'guests' *were* actual members?
