For some, it is not an issue of hormones. BIID is a good example - it's about the bits, not the T - they don't belong (the physical presence), but the identity remains fully and preferably functional as male.

I suppose that after having the "bits" removed one could either use HRT, or not, and almost "swing back and forth" from being on T and off T, for different experiences now and then. A roller coaster ride for the mind, body, and emotions.......not for the faint of heart!
Having pondered the subject further, while this would be quite out of the ordinary, I suppose one could, after surgical removal acquire the largest heaviest replacement "bits" possible, take HRT, and be a real swinger,
