Taxidermy for male genitals?
Just curious as to whether it's possible to actually have a taxidemist stuff and preserve ones genitals? I know that there are some stories about it, where the penis and testicles are stuffed and displayed as paper weights and as wall ornaments like the heads of animals, but I never heard if it was actually possible. Any clues?

There is this show going around called Body Worlds, where you get to see the entire human body (minus the outer skin layer). I don't know about preserving one's separated genitals, but they can sure be preserved along with the entire body. The process used is different than taxidermy; it is called Plastination.

Re: Taxidermy for male genitals?
The human skin is to transparent to undergo traditional Taxidermy procedures. However, like someone already said the human body can undergo Plastination (which is a process that removes the liquid and puts in plastic) The hitch being that Plastination is a lengthy and expensive process plus there is less then a handful of places in the world that can even perform the process. In other words I doubt you could just walk in and ask them to plastinate your genitals however you can leave your body to them

Re: Taxidermy for male genitals?
In recent years, taxidermy has taken a new turn. Instead of removing the skin from an animal and stuffing it with the best formed fibreglass or foam replica, the whole animal is frozen as soon as possible after it is dead. Then the frozen body is sent to the taxidermist.
The taxidermist takes the frozen animal and briefly thaws it just so he can pose the animal in the desired stance, usually supported on a framework, generally the animal's real eyes are removed and replaced with the best matched glass eyes, then the body is refrozen. Then the frozen (and now realistically posed) body is put in a large refridgerated vacume chamber, and it is dried out. Water will transition to gas at much lower temperatures in the super low pressure environment of the vacume chamber. So the frozen water in the animal's body goes directly from ice to gas "steam" of sorts - though the whole process remains very very cold, so as the animal's body dries out, it does not shrink or shivel up. It can take quite a while in the vacume chamber, but when it is done, there is a completely dehydrated and solid animal that no longer requires freezing temperatures to keep. The process is of course expensive, but it is generally recognized as the best possible result for "taxidermy."
Now, there would be some problems with doing this to a penis. The first and most notable being that once it is removed, it is flacid, not erect, and I would think I would want my preserved penis wall mounted tropy or paperweight to be very erect. So, in addition to freezing it would need to be artifically inflated or presurized, preferably with the real blood it once held inside it, then frozen in an erect state, then put into the vacume chamber and dehydrated.
Personally, I only want castration for myself, but I would LOVE to proudly display a few wall mount trophies in full erection... I think that would be so cool, to have them on the wall in the tropy room, but I bet I would have a hard time getting people to not touch them.

Arabbit,
The "condition" you refer to is often referred to as "Angel Lust".
Once upon a time one of the KiKaKo members sent me a link to some pictures of a man who was hanged in South America and he indeed had an erection even after death. The pics were taken as he lay on an autopsy table, naked and in full bloom. I was so put off (the death thing, you see,) that I dumped them.
I've heard that some men have ejaculated when hanged and it's known that Zebras (BG's Daffy Dictionary defines "Zebra" as a Cavalry Horse that has made Master Sergeant) often ejaculate at the moment of death.
Although I prefer that the peepee be left attached, only the ballsies cut off, I have wondered if it might someday be possible to inject some sort of super-coagulant/preservative into a peepee while erect, then amputate it using a cauterizing scalpel. Thus, the item would be forever in a "fresh" and perky state. Hmmmm...now how to put in the batteries....
What a lovely topic with which to start my day.

Re: Taxidermy for male genitals?
What's interesting is that impotent men can get silicone implants which are placed inside the two penile cylinders. I wonder why they can't just inject silicone into the cylinders directly, though I'm sure it has something to do with what happened to women who had silicone injected directly into their breasts. The new penile implants actually have a pump that's put in the scrotum. The doctor places a pump into your scrotum (if you have one, I don't) and you can pump up your penis when you need too for intercourse and feel around for the release valve when you don't. So there's room in the scrotum for something like that? Amazing.
Here's a great radiologic view of silicone implants that were placed in a penis:

Re: Taxidermy for male genitals?
If you are ingenious and resourceful enough with an exacto knife, and you happened to have your freshly severed part you could try something like this.
Rinse/squeeze it out thoroughly in warm water, then again in methyl hydrate (wear rubber gloves) until it appears translucent and completely clear of any blood. Then soak it in a jar of acetone for a week or so which will get rid of the remaining water in it. You can get that from any automotive store that sells body repair stuff.
Squeeze/drain out your shriveled trophy and cut carefully around the inside of the sheath of the severed end, about an inch in. Stick a pencil or chopstick all the way down the urethra, then tie the urethra off around it tightly at the severed end, to seal it.
Attach a 12 inch length of 3/4 inch ID diameter plastic pipe to the severed end by stretching the skin and sheath over the pipe end then wrap it once or twice with tape and tighten a hose clamp over it.
Your penis should now be hanging limp at the end of the pipe.
Fill the pipe with freshly mixed red latex molding compound, then use a 12 inch long wooden dowel as a plunger to inflate the penis to whatever the maximum erection level you remember possible.
It should harden in 20 minutes!
I don't know if this would work, but you only have one shot at it!

Re: Taxidermy for male genitals?
Roadrunner, nice advatar. Your very detailed suggestion is very interesting. Essentially the excised penis is deflated, preserved, and reinflated using a latex moldable compound that should have some flexibility to it. It's an idea I hadn't thought about. By the way, I never remember you explaining how you removed your penis. Do you have a detailed story? If not, could you write one about it? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Re: Taxidermy for male genitals?
I'd have to see a few successfully preserved erect penises before I try it. I rather enjoy using my penis, but I still fantasize about chopping it off. If, God forbid, I found I out I had a terminal illness (or if I reach a sufficiently advanced age), I'd probably cut it off, just for the experience. After all, you can't take it with you...

This reminded me of another site where intact men can stick their erect penises into a container of latex rubber to make copies of their penises. In reality, this might be a better thing to do than trying to preserve your penis after it's cut off. You could use it as a stap-on if you wanted to and still say, "It's my penis."

Re: Taxidermy for male genitals?
I don't know about preserving a penis, but I know a woman, from my wife's jewelry classes, that claims that she made earrings out of her husband's testicles after he was castrated for medical reasons. She said that she freeze dried them, cut them open and stuffed them with a plaster core, and used them to make a mold for a thin-wall, lost wax casting in gold. After dissolving out the core with vinegar, soldering on the findings closing the holes, and polishing they were ready to wear.
Personally, I think she was fibbing. First of all, because what doctor or hospital would let her take them home and not dispose of them as medical waste? Secondly, since you can make the molds for the lost wax technique with anything that will burn out of the mold I think that she used a pair of large lima beans with spaghettini and other material glued to them. They look very real though and have provided the inspiration for a couple of stories that I haven't finished and posted yet.

One could use plaster of Paris to make the mold, but the hard part might be keeping it hard long enough for the Plaster of Paris to set.

P of P burns like hell as the catalyst works to dry / harden it. Not a good idea. And the mold did not turn out....

Why not stitch the severed end loosely to a small plastic cap and then put it in a little homemade vacuum tube made from an olive jar for awhile, and then pump it full of pickle juice in the olive jar and then fill the jar and seal it. Wow! A pickled penis.

Can a foreskin be preserved? Suppose I have a circumcision, can I ask to have my severed foreskin be put in a jar and take it home?
I have a huge fantasy on circumcision even though I love my foreskin to death. But if I get to keep the severed skin and have it preserved, I might change my mind

Once on tv there was a woman who had taken plaster molds or something of the cocks of famous guys like Mick Jagger, and then she used the mold to make little replicas for her museum.

Re: Taxidermy for male genitals?
The people at the penis museum ought to know a bit about how to preserve a severed member. http://www.phallus.is/ It looks quite interesting from the web-site. I'm sure they'll get thousands of visitors once they have a few human specimens on show. Has anyone here visited the museum?
