Its 4:30 AM, just finished making the stuffing and putting it in the bird, its now cooking for the next 8 or 9 hours. Pies are done, the only thing left is the Candied Yams, Mashed Potatoes and gravy.
Clean the mess, mop the floor, set the tables, etc.
I love Thanksgiving, I do believe it is my favorite holiday of the year.
Happy Turkey all,
River
ahhh, yams could never get over how much they look like something I left in the toilet.
The dressing and Yams were the hit of the meal, they just go together, today I plan on open face turkey sandwiches, bread, turkey, dressing, gravy, yams, cranberry sauce. mmmmmm good.
I do not want to think about food today. Had plenty to eat yesterday to last a few days. Plix had to work at the bank today so I got up and made breakfast sandwiches on whole wheat muffins with crispy bacon, fried eggs and some good sharp cheddar. Keep him fueled for Black Friday. Today the only thing I need to do is take my new prescription for cholesterol meds to the pharmacy.

Swanson's remain frozen.
At this time I am in Holiday Survival mode.
Cheer, Whoopie, Merry - Merry,

Looking forward to January 2 and it is all over.

Every year I have wanted a t-shirt that says "I Survived Holidays 2009". Now that I know that a bottle of wine can make my family enjoyable and the memories fuzzy I do not mind the holidays. Oh and I flame just a little.
