Yes Tugon, Tome and Todd are all planning on being there.. You are correct in that that 2010 Mid West Mom is a little more than 60 days away.. Once we get Indy caught and get back home, we will have to warm the thread and see if we can drum up more that want to come and support this good time. Gasoline is much cheaper this year.. Airfares should be reasonable. I would love to see many more come.. You all think about it..

I made my hotel res Wednesday.

For those of you that haven't made your reservation, the price did go up wednesday by $10/night from the previous time I had checked. I just dragged my feet on booking it.

So book now and book hard so the price doesn't go further up.

If you need to know which motel Incuse, Paolo, Tugon, & I will be staying in, send a <private message> to either Bobbie or me. It's the same one used both two and three years ago (but not last year). The Friday afternoon wine-and-cheese will be in the room that Paolo and I will share. Ye Olde Hogge Trough is nearby for Friday night dinner.

I am considering showing up for part of the Midwest MOM. For some time, I did not think there was any way I could. It all depends on whether or not I have a job in the Chicago area. If I do, I will try to be there for Saturday and part of Sunday. I just can't guarantee anything at this point. If I do not have a job, I will not attend.

I did the math.

I'm driving 2400~m roundtrip and at the price of gas right now, plus sleeping and a near constant supply of slimjims... I'll end up spending more dough driving that flying.

But at least I get to see the country side and see some other friends along the trip. I've given myself 3 days to trek north. This will be my longest voyage by car yet. I hope it's an enjoyable one. The destination will be the best!

Can't wait to see everyone!

With 6 weeks or less to go to the Mid-West MoM... It is time for some people to come out of the woodwork and decide to come.. The even is always full of laughter and good food. You learn why some have chosen to become Eunuchs.. You learn why it may or may not be a good idea for you to seek castration. You will get honest consult from people who have been there and done that. Think about coming this year.. You will not regret it..

Hmmm, I am considering the possibility of coming this year, although a week later might work better for me. Being on a fixed income of SSI I would probably need to pitch a small tent somewhere and save the expense of a motel room. The transportation alone is going to cost me a bunch. I am wondering how spread out the venues are from each other?

BTW, I do have a lightsaber myself. Might have to defend myself from a Sith Lord. I wonder how many have seen a Jedi wearing a loincloth. 😄

I suspect a tent site might be available at Eunuch Central. Things are spread out a bit, but then there'll be some transportation options available. Dinner at the convent on Thursday evening is in Minneapolis, but everything else takes place east of St Paul in the far 'burbs. We do dinner Friday evening at the Hog Trough (Old Country) where a light saber fight has been known to break out. Give it a try!

The gathering is set for locations in and near Minneapolis. The email that Bobbie sent to all of those planning to attend had 17 people on it.

The events will run from dinner at the Convent on Thursday evening through Sunday dinner at Riverwind & Talula's adjacent homes. You can come for all or part of the MoM.

If you want to receive the information, send a PRIVATE MESSAGE to Bobbie, giving him an email address that will accept attachments (like a map to the locations!)

If you haven't used the private message function before, you need to

1) Click on Bobbie's name at the upper left of the post above this one,

2) Click in the drop-down menu to send a private message to Bobbie, and

3) Ask him for the information about the MoM and give him your address.

I hope to see more than 17 of us there.....
