Oh, so I could install Photoshop CS2 and tell the installer Windows 2000 then? Then install? That would be cool, as I have no need for CS4 or higher and don't care to learn.

7 is the IQ of Microsoft. Also how many hours it takes to start and shut down. Seek out Puppy Linux which is good for people who are used to Windoze.

I too upgraded/built my own new computer...my problem was I wanted to play the New Star Trek Online Role playing game and my old computer would not handle it, but by the time I realized it I had already bought the software and payed for a lifetime membership...

As to Windows 7 you have a choice between 32 bit or 64 bit...32bit only understands up to 3.5gb of memory and 64 bit understands 16gb of memory. However, 32 bit is more compatible at the moment with older hardware and software. Also, flash does not work with 64 bit at the moment. Though I believe there is a XP compatibility program you can download from MS....in a nutshell 32 bit or 64 bit depends on you and your software/hardware...my scanner and printer are none compatible with 64 bit so for now I went with 32bit...maybe by the end of the year I will purchase a new hard drive and reinstall everything for 64 bit then up my memory to 16gb :D
