Away for a Bit

Post by kristoff »

I will be undergoing surgery early on Friday morning (23 April), and as a result I will be absent for 1-3 days or so. I will have the princess bring my laptop in after I am ensconced in a hospital bed. Whether I will be able to connect to the EA is another item. Last time I was in, the same hospital blocked EA access. (I need a quick lesson in how to use a proxy server, and which to use.)

I have a formenal stenosis at L4 left side which is causing nerve compression on the sciatic nerve. Essentially what is being done is opening up the hole in the bone where the nerve exits. Hopefully, when all is done, my low back and leg will be pain free.

Paolo is very busy this time of year - his busy season has just begun as mine ended. So any help requests to him may take a day or two. Otherwise, sent a note to Riverwind or Uncle Flo - they like to hear from folks, too. If I can get on, I will visit. Otherwise, it's vacation time.

BTW, thanks for the call and the good wishes Danya.

Recover quickly Kristoff my friend. After all, who knows what mischief River will be up to while you are gone :P

We'll watch the fort and send all nun requests to Sister River.

Knowing River, he'll fall out of his wheelchair while typing in code :)

I now have the power to ban people, wonder how it works, I think I will start with MacWolf.

Wishing our favorite Nun the best of luck!

Just so you all know, Slammr will be taking up with helping me out while I am busy with the boys and baseball.

It's a real b*tch to have to work now...

Where's my lightsaber? I'm not sure these knives will cut it.

Here's hoping everything goes well for you, Kristoff. The Nun needs to be ambulatory for August.

Kristoff I hope all goes well. May you soon be pain free and have gentle physical therapists helping you after surgery. If until then you need Cleopatra's litter and six muscular young men to transport you let me know.

Hi Kristoff,

I left you a voice mail the night before your surgery, so I have already wished you a great outcome and relief from your pain.

Hope your recovery is smooth and rapid. We cannot have good nuns out of commission for long! 😄

Hugs,

Danya

Thank you for the good wishes. The surgeon found a few more bone spurs than expected and took care of them as well. I am already back home, and with the help of oxycodone, am feeling pretty good.

So very happy that all went well. I am sure the Nun is fling high for now with the drugs.

Hope the recover goes as well as the surgery.

Okay, who's going to help Kristoff with his calesthentics? (sp)

Don't blame me, it was TheOtherSide's idea - lol
