I've seen their cats and know how much One Ball Boi and Bobbie enjoy them. I also know their connection with Luvpain and what all they did for him but didn't know that Indy was his cat. I know that makes it worse and hope that he is found. Their cats aren't outdoor cats so being lost in an unusual setting is most unfortunate. I hope there is a good ending to this.
But, they do have a remarkable ability, no matter how domesticated, to be a cat. One really friendly kitty I have now had five homes in the 'hood and was feral in between.
It seems this time of year and in the Autumn they really like to got out and hang. I have seen groups of three from different homes, just hang out on the hill. All neutered.

I've been so busy I haven't had time to comment on this thread.
I take it Indy never came home?
If not, I am so sorry.
I know how it feels to lose a beloved pet, and I don't wish it on anyone.
Yah me too I hope all the best, and remember the stories of cats that have come home months and years after being lost. My thoughts are with Bobbie and OBB. Dave
As mentioned Indy was Luvpain99's cat. Indy adopted OneBallBoi and myself when Luvpain passed away. We are equal slaves to him. He got out while we were staying in a cabin. He must have leaned too hard on the screen window over night. We saw him that night and the next night near a wood shed. No sign of him on the third night or forth. We were waiting outside all night waiting where we last saw him. We did put out several live traps. We did catch a stray cat last night but no Indy.
We drive home Wednesday some 15 hours. Got home and just could not not try to give him another chance. We will be heading back to New York on Thursday. Long distance from Wisconsin. But we do love him very much.
Matthew named this cat Indy, short for Independence. Bob and I gave this cat to Matt for his birthday, the year before he died.. And Indy is a very Independent little cat. We are very hopeful we can find him again and catch him this time and bring him home. Indy changed so much in the last year, he became so loving. He would come to me in the night, crawl under the sheets and let me pet him for hours on the belly and chest.
Most of you here know that I have a very close relationship with God and I believe in miracles. I am seriously praying that I can find Indy yet and bring him home again. He is a part of Matt that I am not ready to let go of.

I believe in miracles too, but in this case - innate feline GPS is still possible and a return "home" after a Summer of fattening up may still be a reasonable hope.
We arrived back in camp late Thursday night. That is driving over 1600 miles in around 18 hours. (Corrected that was 36 hours. Just can not think when that tired.) We put out the live traps. Second night in a row we got a cat. This one was another new cat. The people at camp did see a black and white cat in several locations last night. Do not know if it was our Indy or stray. Getting another live trap later today. Increase our chances by 50%. Will stay while there is still reasonable hope. My cat has not be acting good. In-fact down right mean the past few days. Indy and my cat were the best of friends. Wrestle and run around the house one minute, then curled up together sleeping on each other the next.
Bobbie, I sure hope this works, I think he would be glad to be back and I know you two would feel a whole lot better too. Not to mention the other kids.
My thoughts are with you. I know how important Indy is to you. I remember him from the MoMs as a beautiful young cat. I know that he is terrified out in the wild and anxious to be home.
Tonight is Friday night.. Indy has been in the wild for one week now. Obviously he likes his freedom.. We are hoping that we can catch him and place him again with other 2 brothers soon..

I am hoping for the best. I know Indy is a nifty cat and is very lovable.
If he doesn't show up though, keep in mind that he now has a chance to experience the wild. Something he's been longing to do as I'm often told he's staring out the window at the squirrels and chipmunks.
As of Sunday morning we caught 5 different stray cats. Camp only knew about 1 of them. 2 different raccoon's. But the all important was the 6th cat which was our own beloved Indy. When he got of the cage, he was wild for a short time. Few minutes he was coming to us for loving and petting. He did move around the cabin for some time crying, meowing. Ate some food and drank water. Few hours later he is as loving as always. Rubbing up against us. Does not mind being picked up. Fighting like crazy when he was on the loose.
Vacation was extended another 10 days. But having our Indy back was well worth it.
