Scrotatectomy

Post by No_Nads_Dan (imported) »

I don't know how many have the same problem of a painful scrotum after having the silicone implants removed it is something I did not expect two months after I had my Orchiectomy Back in 1987 Doc. Put in a couple of Testicular implants so I did not know or remember how bad the scrotum gets caught between the legs its painful or annoying even getting out of the car my scrotum is always deep red.😢

In 2009 I was playing rough with the implant and it started leaking so in December of 2009 I had them removed because they were Infected the burning was like fire wow it was bad. But this is what I wanted.

Now I have the scrotum problem it took it 8 months to get a Doctor to remove it he sent me to 4 other Doctors for their opinion Finley I got Schedule this Month on the 28 for a Subtotal Scrotatectomy on the 28th I am looking forward to the surgery I like the idea of having it smooth down there.

Persistence is the only way to get things done I will keep you posted best of luck to you all. ;)

Make sure that when your doc says subtotal, that he means that he is going to make you smooth. My subtotal left some redundant tissue that I hate. I am trying to get in to a plastic surgeon to make it all nice and flat.

My own experience is that my scrotum has become one of my most erotic parts since castration. I also have a couple of rings in it. However, I also experience that it gets in the way. I can see having a good part of it removed, but I'd leave just enough to serve as a receptacle for jewelry and to leave some tissue to be fondled by sexual partners.

I was castrated two months ago and am waiting for the scrotal reduction. The doctor told me to give it about 4 months for the swelling to go down and allow the reduction to be "tighter".

I'm thinking of having it done this winter, after I get settled in my house and get some financial things under control. (LOL given a choice, would you rather take three fabulous vacations and buy new clothes, or buy a new furnace? I had to go with "furnace.") Since Scarnick and I used the same doc, maybe we can get a "package" deal ! 💡

Who was the doc? Perhaps he could get a nice bit of scrotal removal/reduction appointments from we eunuchs. :)

When I talked to the Dr. he said that it was bad to do a total Scrotatectomy that there is problems with it. I also read on the Archive that it could leave you in a lot of discomfort subtotal is fine with me I like this link and hope it turns out like this.

Hey Dan,

Does your Doctor allow you to email him/her? If it is possible could you send them a link to this picture and ask if this is what they consider sub total? My subtotal is U-G-L-Y. I am in the process of trying to get a revision via plastic surgery. I want what is in the picture you showed, or if you havent seen them look at the srs miami pics. http://www.srsmiami.com/photography-orchiectomy.html

Please work it out before your surgery, or you may not be satisfied.

Cheers

Well I had my surgery on the 18th Doc said he was going to cut on each side and pull the scrotum tight but I told him to remove the whole thing and the membrane that forms around the implants that there still a little pain from them also so he removed the whole thing and the membrane exactly like the photos in this link.

http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Scrotal_Removal

I did have some complications I started moving around too much and the bruising got real bad and had a clot come loose and had a slight heart attack, I am doing better now. 🍑👋

I am happy with the results of the surgery I have a scar but that's OK. 🙏

Hi Nonads...Congratulations on your castration...But wow! on the minor heart attack...I had a friend die from something very similar...a loose clot caused his death after surgery...

Where did you have this surgery performed? dragonfly

Why is this headed 'scrotatectomy'? Surely Scrotectomy is the the right word?

And - on another thread, the singular of testes is testis, no?

I was Castrated 23 years ago,:D I just had my Ball-sack removed the surgery was done at Antelope Valley Hospital.

It's weird I'm having Phantom pain my body thinks the Ball-Sack is still there, at times it was sharp at first and not very often, it would last only a second then go away, I can tell the nerves are starting to die off.

Wow It is starting to feel good down there the swelling is mostly gone and a little tight but nice I'm loving it 🙏

However you spell it, I was castrated in the spring and am considering having the scrotum cut off. It did not shrink all that much after the testicles were removed.

Do we have any list of doctors that either castrate or remove the scrotum?

I will be happy just to find a scrotum removal doctor.

I know Dr. Reed will do it, but was wondering if anyone has had success with local plastic surgeons.

Let me know.

I have a hypothesis that after orchiectomy it is much more simple to find a doc, willing to remove scrotum. Probably any skilled enough plastic surgeon would do that.

So one has to wait at least 4 months.

Does it really atrophy that much? I mean after a month and a bit it is a little smaller but in the bath it is still bigger than it needs to be....

I am going the no implant route.

Mine did shrink a little after castration but I was never happy having it there - with or without balls. I had it completely removed three years after I was castrated and am extremely happy with the result.

I had my scrotum

The Dr. who did the castration also removed the scrotum. When I asked for a referral to a plastic Surgeon for it to be done, he checked things out and said he could do it. I let him and he did a very good job. He even made the decision to remove as much of it as possible and I am very happy with the job. Now, if I could get rid of all the body hair I would be really happy. Never have liked body hair.

As a follow up to my request for a referral to a doctor to remove my scrotum (no referrals came in), I made a list of all the plastic surgeons within 75 miles who had an on-premisis ambulatory operating room (no general anethesia). About a half a dozen candidates. Started calling (I was nervous to make the calls) but got generally positive responses after making it clear that I wanted my (empty) scrotum removed. Mostly in the vein of "come on in for an evaluation, and we can go from there". Only one seemed rather shocked by the idea and dismissed me abruptly. I picked one based on location and web site material. I was very well treated and very satisfied with the final result.

I am curious if your insurance paid for this or was it an out-of-pocket cost to you. I'd consider it but its not a high priority. My scrotum was never large and has shrunk since its contents were removed. I was surprised at how much more comfortable it was without balls so am kind of interested to try it without the empty scrotum.
