My Penectomy story from the hospital

Sorry Hash, quite busy at the moment. Also I had my bottom kicked on some other threads on this forum. Anyway...

It is too bad that some people choose to react that way. This forum ceases to be beneficial when people take that type of approach.

. The first day when I came back home after my hospital session, that next morning when I awoke, it felt strange not having my penis. I'm so used to to it, by reaching for it and not feeling it there, brought some weird emotions. But that was short lived; about two days.

Now, ........ I don't miss my penis at all. It's like I never had one. I can't even remember what it felt like having one. ........

Regards Once you get the remaining stump removed and the urethra rerouted you should be fully satisfied with the results. You will not have any of the frustrations or inconveniences associated with having a penis. You will also be able to just sit and pee without being concerned about where it is going or about getting the last squirts in or on your trousers. I wish to find a way to be fully nullo with a proper urethra relocation.

Yoda, sorry for asking yet another question, it is all so fascinating to me. Was there any problem when the question of stump removal came up? I mean, why wouldn't they just leave it and do a better urethra relocation? On the other hand, what good would there be to leave it? It's not benefiting you. But I do think some surgeons might not want to remove it because it's quite invasive surgery to remove the complete penis when not entirely necessary.

Very true. Removal of the penis and testicles should be more acceptable. It is much more acceptable for a woman to have her uterus and ovaries removed. Why are the views of the medical community so vastly different for women and men?

Apparently my spouse seems to believe the penis is what makes you male. When shown a picture of an obviously castrated M2F Transsexual, she claims they are a boy, simply because they have a penis.

I tend to disagree, because I believe the testicles make you male. For most people, after testicles are removed, the penis does nothing but assist in urination. I'm certainly hoping once my testicles are gone I'll become more female than I am already, regardless of whether I retain a penis or not.

After a body part is amputated, the brain stops receiving neurological information from that part. Usually over a period of a few to several years, the brain loses the ability to access memories about the missing part. By the time 3 to 4-years had passed by after my castration and scrotectomy, I essentially no longer had any memories of having testicles or a scrotum. Occasionally, for a couple more years, something would trigger a brief memory, but it was soon forgotten. I have now been a eunuch for almost a decade and I assure you that I have absolutely no memories of ever having had testicles or a scrotum.

However, I do have the memory of watching each testicle being dropped into a kidney-shaped stainless steel bowl right after each was severed.

This memory loss process occurred much more rapidly after my penectomy. I very quickly got use to not having a penis. Likewise, I very quickly got use to sitting to pee. By 6 to 9-months after the penectomy, it seemed like I had never had a penis and memories were few and far between. Today, I barely remember very carefully feeling my entire penis, both externally and internally, for about 20 minutes about an hour before it was amputated. It has been 16 months since the penectomy and as far as my brain is concerned I have always been a nullo.

Hi Bill, thanks for posting and adding to our discussion. I've been a eunuch now for many years, Dr. Kimmel, just recently had my 5 year castration anniversary. As a eunuch, I've used low dose testosterone for some time, but my penis has shrunk a lot and lost a lot of bulk. It's not what it once was, that's for sure. I can compress it or squeeze it flat between my fingers to a little less than 1/2 inch! It's a limp noodle to be sure. What was the condition of your penis before you had it removed? Any memory of that? Hope it's o.k. to ask.

Also, I wonder if being a eunuch helps one in their quest to get a penectomy? Haven't tried it yet, but I theorize that it might help, perhaps just a little.

Hi Hash, sorry for answering so late. Actually, I was shocked when I woke up after the Penectomy operation and discovered that I still had a stump left. I asked my Uro about it as by definition, a TOTAL PENECTOMY is the removal of the whole penis. He looked a bit surprised to me. I suppose, he thought that I will not know these things. Thanks to EA I'm quite educated!

I insisted that he clean up the mess he's done AND remove the stump because I signed the operation authorization form which states a TOTAL PENECTOMY.

He agreed so I'm w

aiting for the 2nd operation in a couple of weeks.

Bill, I have such memory loss regarding my penis that it's like explaining to a woman what a penis feels like. Truly, I have NO idea what my penis felt like. I can still fell the stump and it still feels like that bottom part of the penis I had all the time, but, I have NO recollection of how the top part felt. That's good because I thought I might be very depressed at moments as I will miss it. A hidden blessing, I suppose.

He initially banded his balls and cut them off becoming a eunuch, then he cut off his penis, had the stump removed with only the penis bulb remaining. The results are amazing and I think he's going to have some additional surgery to create a faux vagina. I suppose you'll end up looking somewhat like him as he is now. This is becoming a more and more frequent reality for many men and I can't help think that someone will come up with a simple bloodless way to get rid of one's penis without ever going to the hospital.

So, my dear brethren, I went to the Plastic Surgeon yesterday. The sad news is that he decided to do the urethral relocation and smoothing up in two more phases. In a week or so, he is going to perform a liposuction in my groin area and cut off that horrible piece of skin flapping around.

Then after 3 months, he will perform the urethral relocation and smooting up operation.

Darn, I wish that all this can be over with.

I only wish that I could be like you, but it's not time for me yet, hopefully next year. Thanks for all your posts and responses. Can you tell us why he wants to do this in two phases? It does seem odd. I'm guessing that by liposuction he's going to remove excess fatty tissue from around your groin along with the flap of penile skin. But again, why can't this be done in one operation? Hmmm, strange. Could more money be the issue?

I must tell you guys something VERY amazing. My brain CANNOT remember my external penis. No matter how hard I try to remember what it felt like to the touch, I just can't remember. I can't remember what the glans felt like. I tried to remember what a BJ or jacking off felt like . The memory just is'nt there anymore. It's like explaining to a girl what a penis feels like. She will never know. That's the same with me.

So, for those who want to know if one will get very depressed when losing their penis I can honestly say that "You can't miss (or get depressed) losing your penis as your brain rewires itself. It will be like you never had it in the first place"!

Are there any penectomized member here that agrees (experienced) the same?

PS. You will be depressed if you cut of your penis but still want sex or orgasm. You won't miss your penis, but reaching orgasm will be a son-of-a....

Are you using or receiving any testosterone into your body? I wonder if the depletion of testosterone prompts memory loss of your penis. I believe a true eunuch who does not use any type or form of testosterone, loses not only sexual desire, but sexual awareness and identity. In other words, when testosterone is removed from one's body, the brain is short-circuited in regards to things that were male, estrogen rises, thus you cannot remember your penis or testicles because testosterone is needed to retrieve those memories. It may also be true that the rise of estrogen inhibits male thoughts. Just a hunch or theory, but there has to be some truth in there.

Hi guys! Once again I'm laying in the hospital bed having had my second operation last Thursday. The surgeon lipo-sucked my groin area, closed the original pee-hole, relocated my urethra more south, and chopped of that piece of flapping skin.

Now I'm recovering in hospital (day 7 already) waiting for the swelling to subside completely to see the result. I should be smooth now.

I have my last op in August to remove the stump.

Things are moving to an end!

Wonderful great news, congrats! Hope they let you go very soon. Keep us posted, your journey is remarkable and it's so beneficial to our community. Along that line, if you're not going to use any testosterone therapy, I believe your stump won't be a stump in a very short:) time. Without testosterone supplementation, it will shrink a lot and possibly, depending on how the reroute is made, you won't feel the need to have it removed. I understand your desire to get rid of every minuscule part of your penis, I just don't like surgery and if I don't see a penis and don't feel a penis, then it's not worth the surgery, but that's me. I also realize psychologically, that you might not be able to live with any part or piece of your penis still attached to you. Whatever you choose to do, I prayerfully wish you the best of luck.

Castr8edmale, tribes.net, continued to use testosterone therapy after he amputated his penis and the erecting stump bothered him terribly, so he had it removed. I don't know what happens now to a complete nullo who has had everything removed but continues to supplement with testosterone. I'm not sure if there's any sexual feeling left and if there is, how one would satisfy this graving.

Always the curious one, I forgot to ask, "What's the purpose of lipo-suction on your groin?" I thought lipo-suction was to remove fat? Without your penis, scrotum, and testicles, was he lipo-suctioning some blood or fat combined? I'm theorizing that in order to get the groin region as flat as possible, for the sake of the urethra relocation, he lipo-suctioned the area as much as he could.
